Did a little bit on the chorus part back when the CM version came out... Turns out I got grammatical mistakes
Japanese conjugation really kills me... And yeah... it does has graduation vibe on it.

The worst part is that the key is very hard to be sung by guys (just like most Nogi's song, really)... can't really sing it out loud even though I want to
And the notes might cause some vocal disaster during Live shows. Hopefully the girls will perform it well

both YT channels with this song had been trending #2, #8 but it looked like SME blocked it already

Beautiful song. Loving it. It might be a long stretch, but probably PROBABLY the jacket photos were a play on the word "SynchroniCITY". They were in various places in the city afterall. Imagine how crowded that book store is going to be from now on. I think I might have seen one of the player from Todai Ou Quiz game (or something like that) were interviewed in a book store pretty similar like that.

 

To be honest I also kind of confused because their Homepage (English translated version) also refer to the title as Synchronic City... Although I think it's very unlikely since the title itself in Katakana just read as Synchronicity

 

Has anyone noticed that the lyrics were changed a bit?

I remember it orginally was: "Riyuu nante nani mo omoiatarahazu" instead of "Riyuu nante nani mo omoiatarazu ni"

and the line before the first chorus starts.

The instruments also changed as well... Maybe it's some kind of legal issues? They need to keep the song for Haruyama CM on it's own version, and the actual single as it's own entity. The added "ni' doesn't really change the meaning though.

Also during last chorus, do you think it's Maiyan singing solo?

Probably not, a fan make a video on the line distribution and it looks like 3 members are singing that part (but we will only know the accurate one when we see them perform).

AFAIK, changing the lyrics is common practice for Aki-P. It doesn't have anything to do with the tie-ins. I've also read this issue in 48 lyrics, they even changed the lyrics after or in the middle of MV shooting, iirc.
Let's just enjoy the official one. The one in Haruyama is a teaser

I really love the simple instrumental during the verse and pre-chorus that build up into the chorus. Sounds amazing, imo.

I distinctly hear Ikuchan's voice in there (Nanase's too, actually), so that's probably a no.
