As much as I wanted to be fair to the challengers, I don't see it yet. The Top 48 have been in trials and all kinds of hardships since Week 1 when they are still Top 200.

The challengers will not convince me by just dancing to an AKB48 song well.

For me, Kaigai is not necessarily needed for MNL48 for now.

But still, I'm happy that Sela-chan is the Top 1 for this week. I never expect that it will happen.

 

I have so many things in my mind about this new revelation. I dont know how to organize my thoughts properly so I'll enumerate them randomly.

- Sela being no. 1 is a surprise and... expected at the same time. I have a feeling that Sela should've been in the top spot earlier but the management somehow manipulated the ranking so they can hide Sela and eventually reveal her in the top spot for added drama. She's been a fan favorite from the start and the management knows this. Remember when they called Sela last for the top 75 selection? I guess it's for the thrill.

- It's sad how Kay and Faith are in the bottom rank when they stood out from the madlang hurado. Faith is not my oshi but I remember her online update performance was good and her ranking (18th) wasnt bad as well so I could not understand how she's included in the bottom 7.
Kay is my oshi though and I dont know why they dont notice her potential. I'm getting more worried with Thea. She's one of my bet but I understand why she's at the bottom 7.

- I've been open minded with how MNL48 is managed by ABS but I think the wildcard surprise is too much a slap for the current aspirants. Seriously? The top 48 have auditioned and campaigned for their spot and now here comes the wildcards who just auditioned and ready to take the bottom 7's place? That's so effin unfair dont you think? Like wow that's a major SHORTCUT!

I can accept if there'll be another elimination but i could not accept having a wildcard replacing them just like that.

And there's really something not right seeing the wildcards being on the spotlight and performing a Japanese song looking like real idols.... like a mockery to all the remaining aspirants who only performed an AKB song in a big group.

Seriously, I've been tolerant with the management until now. What they're doing is so low. I feel sorry for the top 48 girls.

And may I know what AKB song this wildcard people performed? All 27 or just 7 of them?

At this point, unless Ash or Faith (or anyone I like right now) end up as front girls in the debut single, I'll just end up as an MNL48 youtube fan, someone who just watch the PVs, check updates from time to time, thats it.

I can't bring myself to actually spend money on a group with this system.

And really, what earth shaking decision of AKS is of this level? In terms of fairness and to how it'll benefit the group.

How I wish the aspirants start performing using the 48 group songs

And I noticed Kaye and others were singing along while those challengers are performing.

I feel bad for the bottom rankers tbh, but it means that they should put more effort in order to stay in the group.

I felt intimidated on those challengers tbh

 

I know. But I dont understand how Faith from the higher rank who seems to be doing well in the online update challenge and complimented by a madlang hurado end up in the bottom 7. I get Kay's position though because she's in the lower rank.

 

The profiles of the challengers are now in the MNL48 website! They have videos too!

 

Just looked at them... it felt like the initial pictures during the top 200 announcement. I was hoping it will be on par with the recent profile pictures from the Top 48
