The thing with the normies not liking MNL48 is not surprising. For female performers in the late teens or early 20s, the crowd expects 'sexy' or 'fierce' over 'cute'.

The concept of loving 'kawaii' or 'aegyo' from a young adult is almost unheard of. If one does it, its 'pabebe' (literally, acting like a baby) which has a negative tone leaning towards annoyance.

ABSCBN could have promoted AKB first as a big deal group from Japan. Maybe focus more on Uza, River, Beginner, and maybe with songs that require some skills like 365. Or maybe, air Majisuka? I don't know.

Its an uphill battle for MNL right now, and with management agitating those who were willing to be supportive with this 'challenger' twist is a bad move I think.

Idk if it's okay to ask, are there any links/video of April 09 It's Showtime performance? The one with Ashley? I read that one from the audience "commented" about her. I got curious. I looked last night but there's no any YT video uploaded by MNL48/It's Showtime/Kapamilya Trending.

Severe miscalculation. In their quest to attract the "madlang people", they opted for twists and other gimmicks instead of slowly introducing what J-idols and J-idol music is all about. That's why they kept running in circles instead of just moving on to the net stage: they keep waiting for the thousands that will never come because no normie knows what the group is supposed to be.

After this week's Weekly, I'm temporarily closing the blog until this "audition" is over or until the management convinces me that they know what they're doing, whichever comes first.

anyway, gabb achieved a certificate of achievement and academic excellence in her school today, especially in English. Plus that average grade of 92%

I havin' a deja vu before and i think all the fans make a shocked reaction at the general elections ...

Although their faces is blurred i can recognized them..

On the original top 48:
35 will be passed
Eunice will be on the top one more
And on 27 MNL challengers:
13 of them passed and 2 of them gets on the top 7

 

And AKS is more focused on the upcoming Produce48 than TPE48 debut and MNL48 General Election . Kidding. hihi

 

And MNL48 will end up like Star Magic Angels or Girltrends.

 

Which group has AKB members again?

 

AKS has sent stylists to create new idol looks for TPE girls. MNL is the group which AKS doesn't want to care any more.

 

Awww, they're sending one of their choreographers so at the very least, MNL48 is the black sheep of the family no one likes to talk about during reunions.

Of course. All AKS does to international SG are picking the girls and approve stuffs they wanna do. Since MNL decided to pick "by themselves", there's nothing AKS will actually do to them.

On the contrary, AKS will be directly involved in PD48

 

They brought out their Big Guns on that program so they do want their returns
