"Manga mitaini ikanai" is a situation comedy on NTV that depicts the sorrowful daily life of a middle-aged manga artist who can not sell, which has been made into a live stage that included solo sections and ad-libbing. The paying public seemed to have enjoyed it and obviously the Paruru fans were overcome at seeing her onstage after such a long time. Many were taken back to her idol days when she has a dance scene with Kenjiro Yamashita of 3rd gen J Soul Brothers. There were comments on how good her acting has become.

There'll be DVD on July 25 but hopefully, we'll see some clips before then.

Hmm.. not a lot of stuff going on.
To those who watched Replay, was it good? I'll probably check it out finally since its over. I dislike waiting a full week or so for next episodes. Also, been busty watching other stuff (Mostly Korean.. funny how they all look alike ) hence, not keeping up with Pruru. She still looks thin..she needs to gain some weight.

I too fit the older and man criteria the rich and handsome part.. haha! I'll have better luck winning the lottery.

The drama's a bit too real, or rather, the IT/enterprise premise just do not mix with me. Paruru's fine. I still think she should work on her crying face. Her speaking intonation's fine tho. However, from what I understand, Paruru's only appearing in the 1st and 2nd ep. No wonder she ended filming for the drama so quick. And news of the play would be harder to access so things are gonna seem a little quite I think.

 

Well, I've watched it a couple of times and I think I could get into it if I could understand what they saying, lol. There's not a lot of Paru but I think she does OK. I do agree with @KuroBara about her crying though, there's not a tear in sight, something which I think she's always had a problem with.



The next episode (#02) is this Saturday, 04/28 and from her Twitter is her last appearance in it.
