[GENERAL] The AKB48 Thread

The AKB48 YouTube channel is for music videos, short features and previews of other upcoming releases, etc. Recochoku's new AKB48 VoD service is mainly geared towards long-form content (e.g. concerts that people had to pay for tickets, and interestingly, in the midst of those infamous YouTube takedowns, Showroom archives!).

But does Recochoku's AKB48 VoD service include music videos as well?

Anyways, I'm not sure how I would feel about this, considering the fact about this YouTube 'adpocalypse' thing and makes me think about what Motor Trend has recently been doing involving its original content videos (e.g. 'Roadkill') being moved from YouTube to its own VoD platform (at least for the new episodes).

 

So VPN pretty much (Surprisingly I was able to sign up while using one, haven't paid for it yet since I'm not sure if I will be able to).

Does VPN works ? I hope they dun become like what nico nico & Raidok did ..... even VPNs dun work at those .....

 

Is there an "added value" for Showroom vidéos ?
Something YT is lacking.
Exemple the girl answers a fan question but we never know what she is asked.

 

So that is why many people who upload loads of showroom vids are getting removed

Partially.
The main reason being it is their contents and it's uploaded without their approval. More especially the girls consent.
Plus they get nothing from illegal YT uploads.

Since it's web based, decided to itchy hand see what happens if my android under similar situation plays it, so far so good

for anyone using the service, is there a playback speed setting like on Youtube?

AKS gets money from the ads on the YT videos. Also from SR perspective, I can imagine a worse situation than your service being promoted all over YT no matter what 48G idol you search. And even if they don't really gain anything, they don't lose anything either - it's not like they have their own paid archive. Well now they do so I could kinda understand deleting (not really still tbh). I guess it rather depends on the uploaders now, whether they're gonna continue...

 

Tbh i started to follow the group due to youtube videos (of showroom)

And there are times when someone i follow started a showroom but i was doing other work, so youtube is a godsent

All you need is literally a vpn and a credit card with a CVC code at the back (basically mastercard or VISA)

Took me 4 min to set up the vpn and then 1 min to register the account lol ez-iest application ever.
