Views are good, doesn't mean it will translate to votes. Do not be fooled.

    @Silenka can finally rest!

    Sorry, I meant KFC indeed.
I thought it surpassed AKB's and that's why they geoblocked it?

I think there will be at least 1 BNK girl ranking for sure, maybe more than 1. I wouldn't expect anything NGT-like though.

Unless the Tourism Authority of Thailand(TAT) decides to throw some money in or something. It's not inconceivable considering they've been paying Nogizaka for a while, and that's gotta be pretty expensive. Also the government has tried to piggyback quite a bit on the popularity of BNK anyway. That's not directly related to TAT, but if some big money decides to get nationalistic or something anything is possible.

Also they do commercials for big billion dollar companies and such, so if they decided that throwing some money their way could increase the value of their 'investment', I guess I could see that happening. Seems a bit unlikely though. Probably will just be regular fans trying to get some girls in to the top 100 and then try to push the captain as high as possible.

That’s too far-fetched tbh, Thai government doesn’t care about anything or anyone’s opinion let alone how idol-related event would benefit them. Same goes for those companies you’re talking about. They are only interested in what happens in Thailand, not Japan.

And yes view definitely won’t translate to vote because Thai people like free stuff i.e. YT but if you ask them to pay for something that they don’t understand that’s entirely another matter.

Most BNK fans doesn’t even know what this election mean, how much it matter to girls or even how to vote. Although Cherprang and Music both have their own donate website, organised by their fanclub, and both reached 10k votes already. But that’s how far it will go because Thai fans have no unity. They don’t care to organise or rally for the sake of BNK48, they just saving money to vote for their oshi in Thai election. So don’t expect all of their fans to vote for their captain even though she has every chance to rank really really high.

So yeah, these 2 from BNK will rank but probably not beyond 90th

I am so happy the appeal videos are already translated.

    So. Happy. [hehe]

Watching the BNK48 appeal videos, I am impressed with Cherprang and other girls doing their appeal well in 3 different languages. It seems Izurina is the new Harugon learning the language and wearing the country's traditional clothes. I like it. This makes me realize I should be watching BNK - their creativity and energy exudes the spirit of AKB as it used to be - so the appeal videos did their job on me.

So as HS slots sold outs. ;)

Just when you never thought there would be a day that Izurina made it into top 7 of a ranking and beating almost 99% of the local Japanese 48G members.

I mean, I don't even know anything about BNK, but you can check their IG numbers as well - Cherprang is getting on average more likes than Sayanee. Izurina more than Annin, Akarin, Jurina, Yukirin... and they're not even close to being the only one, actually you could say Izurina is still almost the least popular one in this aspect - any random 1st gen BNK member I check is getting at least 15-20k likes on average and usually several tens of thousands above that. So you cannot really compare the numbers.

I guess we’ll have to wait and see if the Thai fans deliver.

10k is impressive for a girl who debuted less than a year ago, but it’s barely enough to scratch the Top 100.

It's the minimum entry requirement afterall. 15k+ is pretty much sure of ranking somewhere in the 90-100.

I believe in BNK fans will deliver as they seem to make a lot of impact recently in these skirmish battles of ssk "popularity reference" rankings.

The Japanese fans are feeling the pressure, as they were raided in the SR comment section last night when BNK came up lol

It was quite a funny scene :hehe:
