^That's what I was saying a few pages back, and got a ton of dislikes for! It's pretty clear that mNet was intentionally showing as little of the Japanese trainees as possible this last episode. Like I said, they want some Japanese girls in, but not too may. I think they will be displeased if the Top 30 is over 50% Japanese, and they certainly don't want the final group to be 50% or more Japanese.

Watch as next week, even though there are many Japanese trainees, the storylines somehow focus almost entirely on the Korean trainees. Except Sakura of course, and maybe Nako.

Seems like people on Twitter are trying to sell flight information and pics? So it looks they might be flying to Korea today. Probably need to film some supplementary bits for the next elimination episode and practice for concept evaluation

I keep bringing this up elsewhere, but not yet here: that PD48 project could be Mnet's counterpart to WWE's infamous Invasion angle. WWE didn't want their superstars to look weak against WCW/ECW (Alliance) ones so they proceed to bury them, and the 48G girls (except for selected few who are over with the audiences, say Sakura and Nako like you mentioned) are in the Alliance position.

Btw, this has probably already been mentioned, but Haeyoon was positively sublime in the last episode. I dislike Christmas songs, but she (along with her friends) made me love this one. Seriously, that was some heartwarming stuff.

And Chowon really opened my eyes. Didn't expect that from her. I definitely wouldn't mind if those two somehow found themselves in the final 12.

    Just watched Episode 6 ...

    Wanna One - Energetic
When the group got up to sing in front of the trainers I was afraid that they would change Jo Yuri's center position. I mean, it really didn't sounded as good there. But while choosing the center for a 2nd time, she could hit the note. Probably just nervousness, but drama in narration is always good, I guess. And I am really happy that she got 1st in her group as she is one of my faves. Though Na Goeun narrative made her shoot up in my rankings now too. She was really supportive!!
Noepii was fun and loud as always lol

    Heize - Don't you know
Cho Won is amazingly talented! I loved her entry in the 1st episode - but kinda left her when there was nothing impressive from her on episode 2. Her narrative during the Boombayah training was amazing. Since then I am hooked on her. And now even more because of her amazing skills. Deserved the No. 1 and would have been surprised if she wouldn't have snatched it.
I am afraid Hyewon made quite the bad decision. She was okay as a Rapper in Boombayah, but this time she looked like a deer infront of the headlights, and sounded flat. I hope her fans will vote for her online. Wouldn't like to lose her already.

    Boa - Merry Chri
Don't remember anything/anyone from this group. Sorry.
Ah, I do remember Park Haeyoon trying to raise everyone spirits. Love her for this. I hope she will make the cut for now so I can see a little bit more of her.
And Sato Minami because she was mentioned so often lol Such a cutie!!

Ariana Grande - Side to Side
Sian really didn't stood out as center.
I don't get how Yi Ren got 4th place. She was amazing!! But good for Miru snatching the 1st place haha

Demi Lovato - Sorry not Sorry
4 favorites of mine are in this group - and the one I don't really care for snatched the 1st spot lol I am sorry, but I don't really get the Eunbi appeal. Maybe it's not meant to be haha
Yena choses poorly. It wasn't bad, but she felt out of place sometimes.
I also don't get how Go Yujin is only at 5, she was amazing. Though I wouldn't be able to rank anyone of them haha

Nah I think you're reading too much into it. K-netz probably complained that all the spotlight was on the japanese trainees (which is partially true) and Mnet is now trying to look fairer.

SHE WAS AT TOMORROWLAND ?! Damn that's like the biggest & trendiest European festival, if I had knew I would have gone there :<

Oooooooh how nice of you @MyDaddy to come & talk trash I've been quite bored recently...
Pretty sure OP wasn't waiting for a dude who seriously uses "MyDaddy" as his alias to give her life advices lol
Hm dude… Only a minority of "men" think like you, it's time to wake up we are in 2018, it's not the middle age.
You just have to look at what sells the most to understand how much "sexy women" are the trend now. Women with big butts, women with big chest, or just oversexualized women in general is what most guys look at. Men have always been attracted by sexy/vulgar women but because of religious & cultural beliefs most of the time they wouldn't marry them, however as time passed things changed and our society became more open minded:
People came to realize that being sexy or a slut doesn't mean that you can't be a nice girl, a classy lady or a genius.
Nowadays being sexy/slutty/or whatever guys like you despise isn't a real barrier anymore when it comes to dating/marrying. Of course slutshaming is still present (you're even the living proof) but as I said men don't hate sexy/slutty women what they dislike is women who own their sexuality.
They hate the fact that women are being sexy/slutty for themselves (because they enjoy it) or someone who is not them (aka the other dudes watching). That's why porn is so popular but porn actress keep getting threats, that also explain why Nicki Minaj sells so well while getting hated at the same time or why dudes like you don't like seeing women dancing sexily in music videos, because you know they are doing it for themselves & not just for you lol.
Time to wake up dude, women don't need men & that's why they'll keep acting like the unbothered queens they are by not minding what you all want them to do.
Do you have any proof about what you are saying ? If not then shut up.
No matter hat job a woman decide to do she deserves respect. Being a sex worker doesn't mean you do not deserve to meet a good person. Plenty of female sex workers met wonderful men, women or non binary folks who are treating them right and that's what they deserve.
This being said I wish to all the sex workers you watch every night alone because no woman wants you, to live a happy life with their better half (if they feel the need to have one ofc).
What you did is called mansplaining I truly feel bad for the poor girl who had to pretend she was interested in what you were saying lol.
About the succesfull men part you should tell that to all those Sugar Daddies who cheat on their "perfect wifes" with sexy & confident women just because they are frustrated about the fact that they never got to date their ideal type lol
Well that's your opinion and just like the rest of it it's pure shit.

My personal theory is that the Produce series is a rally from the mid-tier companies around CJ E&M against the growing control of SM Entertainment. SM's growing acting roster with the buy up of Key West and their plans for an (what seems to me like) albeit weak male version of Nogizaka with NCT I think have prompted the companies like Starship and Pledis to look for ways to counter and the Produce series seems to have done so.

The PD48 iteration makes me feel like AKS were a bit shook by SNH going rogue then exploding in china and so are looking for new ways to expand and solidify their international holdings so have turned to Korea. CJ E&M seeing a more streamlined path into the Japanese market via converted AKB fans would be too tempting an offer to turn down. Produce series plans to go to Vietnam and Thailand which are places with AKB sister groups makes me wonder how closely AKS and CJ E&M are planning to work together. Something tells me there won't be a Produce Taiwan though...
Looking at the votes from the China Produce series is kind of incredible, the top 12 getting number well into the millions, Number 1 , Mei Meiqi took 185 Million and Number 2 Wu Xuanyi got 181 Million.
That's staggering compared to the final vote count of the second season who's final winner got 1.5 Million and ridiculous compared to the final winner of the original series who was at 550K.
I would think such numbers would cause both the major Korean and Japanese idol companies to shake in their boots a bit.

But like the above poster said, I'm probably also looking too much into it lol

I thought the singing performances were terrific this episode. I mean I don't know how much they were edited like last time but they were definitely well presented at least. Good for Hyewon challenging herself. The dancing was sexy but in a pretty forgettable way, in my opinion. I was mostly just bored by it tbh, not my kind of thing.

I am going to remind everyone to please stay on-topic, and don't make the thread about yourselves.

@MyDaddy I'm not sure if you are intentionally trying to be a troll, trying to be provocative, or whatever. But a high percentage of your posts seem to be purposely worded to start friction. So I'm going to give you a one-time "friendly" reminder to cut it out.

All of them including Miru arrived this morning after 9am. Curious why they are in Korea this early considering they are not needed until next week for elimination taping. At least we know that Mnet is not being cheap at all lol

By the way, on Hyewon. I get how people appreciate that she is challenging herself... but she is seriously a terrible rapper. She looked terrified in Boombayah and if possible she was even more flat and scared looking in this performance. I'm not sure why people are saying she deserves to move on based on that performance.

I didn't love it but I'm rarely into k-rap anyways, lol. But, I appreciate the effort and difficulty involved so I applaud her for going after it when it's not her thing. It makes sense though for her to since she won fan love for doing it so she's trying to give them what they want

I have to agree, especially when you compare her with Minyoung. Rather than challenging herself, I think she has no choice, she's not good at singing nor dancing, her expression is so flat throughout, she might have thought rapping is her last resort. But I think she only did slightly better than Boombayah due to the nature of the song. I honestly don't get how Cheetah complimented her and even looks so proud of her. But netz are so easily swayed by judges comment and good narrative and of course being pretty always help.

I know i might be late for the review, but Boa - Merry Chri performance is so so so emotional. I don't know. I just had a sadness feeling through the performance which is amazing, cause they were actually able to trigger emotions. Have the impression they all gave everything almost with all the mess they were put into and kind of knowing most of them wont progress much further.
    Brilliant performance, amazing vocals!

From what I've been told, Cheetah didn't start off a rapper, she was a regular singing idol. One day she was in an accident and got hit by a bus though and the paramedics apparently had to do something to her throat and it kept her from being able to sing anymore. So she trained everyday in rapping so she could remain an idol/performer. I have a feeling she likes her for doing what she needs to do to continue in the show

So it seems the Korean antis swarmed Moe's Showroom and left hateful and sexual messages. :gavel: I will never understand why some people would go to such lengths. *Sigh Too much time on their hands I guess.

It's not about too much time, it's about being a halfway decent human being.
I don't even understand why a show like P48 would make somebody hate a contestant that much that they would do such a thing. Just because it's the internet some people seem to lose all constraints and do things they (hopefully) would never do in real life. But they have to realize that writing hurtful comments in Moe's Showroom is basically as bad as saying it directly to her face.
