At least that so-called 'IZONE' does not carry 48. It would have been a disgrace and complete joke.

Wow, this is more disappointing than Season 2. Good job, Korea. Two girls I can't even tell apart made it.

IZONE, stylized IZ*ONE and pronounced "is one", is a girl group formed in 2018 by CJ E&M through Produce 48. They include: Jang won-young, Sakura Miyawaki, Jo Yu-ri, Choi Ye-na, Ahn Yu-jin, Nako Yabuki, Kwon Eun-bi, Kang Hye-won, Hitomi Honda, Kim Chae-won, Kim Min-ju and Lee Chae-yeon and will be co-managed by Pledis Entertainment in South Korea and AKB48 in Japan.

Their labelmate group Seventeen and Pristin are known for writing and composing their own music.

can I just say it's laughable that pledis is really managing this group's south korean activities when after school is dead and pristin is dying

Well if that rumor is true I think that’s its for the best. Some After School members hinted at something being in preparation so she might use the spotlight she got in this show to push her agency to have her debut or something like that. Also people would have accused her agency of pushing her to debut if she had made it so...

 

I'm 48 fan only and just having 1 jp member would have been enough for me to Stan the result. Now we have 3. #positive

well, pledis is really a joke as there is no kirin chan in the line up . if there is another so called produce48 new season , hope that the big 3 korean entertainment agency will try to send theirs girls in and also aki-p try to get his sakamichi girls to take part and also try to convince LDH's Hiro ( EXILE's leader and also agency's head honcho) to let their EGirls to take part too

imagine teichi and ikuta erika in a new season of produce48 with other 48G girls in the mix . #bestfoebusiness

why ?? sakamichi girls are part of the 48G as they have the same producer and also taking part in the show would boost their presence in korea . imagine the korean trainees saw teichi and ikuta erika , they will be shocked in awe as theyy would say ' how i wish i was so damn popular in japan' kind of thing .

ikoma rina has a keninn in akb48 team b while matsui rena have a run in nogi 46 . sakamichi girls are not the rivals of 48g , they are just complementing each other

 

I think expanding to just the Sakamichi series is too meh. Why not get girls from other groups to participate as well? Imagine if =LOVE or HelloPro girls could join or better still, Imagine getting Produce101 Japan oAo.

 

It would be interesting but unlikely. Sakamichi got only 10% of all 48g member numbers so in scenario where at least 46 girls mandated to participated, it is half of them while 48 girls participating from akb would barely hurt AKB's schedule since it's only like 5-10% of them and not to mention most of 8 are doing prefectural jobs also kenkyuusei and theatre backup who need another chance, while sakamichi girls guaranteed to be featured at least at a song in a single. Not to mention the money from sony is good, considering nanamin can buy her family a house in span of just 4 years after debuting
