Yep, middle row, furthest right when looking head-on with the girls. Techi is the one with the short, (somewhat curly) bobbed hair.

Same here, can't wait! Other than Onyanko Club themselves, I haven't seen another rendition since the one Acchan & Co. did a few years back.

 

Berika has such a beautiful voice she should be speaking a lot more. She looked so cool with her glasses and that Tamori-san impression was fun, I was hoping to see her a lot more with the sunglasses on.

I have forgotten Naako could play the violin.

I was glad they did Habu's intro although it needed a bit more energy.

 

Isn't that the song about losing ones virginity? The one where they sing "Don't take off my school uniform"?

 

At one point I realized that I keep on watching this show because of Tsuchida-san...

 

Yes the lyrics are very creepy by todays standards.

 

I remember AKB performing it back in the day and thought it was a catchy song. I then looked up lyrics and was surprised, to say the least.

 

If you think about it, Onyanko Club was really daring and out there with that song. Then again, Aki-P has always written about what a typical high school girl of that age would be really thinking about...

 

Very true, he does write songs with the thoughts of high school girls in mind.. but... Most of these songs will always be aimed at dudes, thus this kind of song isn't necessarily about female sexuality. It was written with male sexuality in mind. Sex sells and school uniforms are sexualized like crazy in Japan. Even if idols have to act all innocent and stuff, there is always a double meaning.

 

The last two weeks' episodes, celebrating Tsuchida's birthday, were entertaining.
I was surprised about Yone and Risa, both were kind of dominant in their act that I even forgot who the other two members were...
But Uemura's cuteness stole the show this week for me.
