Announced during “Legion of Champion III Indonesian Final” on 19 December 2018. This e-sport team currrently consist of 6 members from JKT48. Official page on JKT48 website
I found a youtube channel that have a special interview with Valkyrie48 Spoiler if the video does not show watch the video here
They're using ASUS Rog right? No wonder why JKT48 endorsement with Xiaomi is no more. Or even, JKT48 will be endorsed by Asus?
I don't think so (?), but since they never really show the phone or laptop they use I always though they just use Asus Zenfone/Iphone?Xiaomi (Idk which edition though) since PUBG usually run quite smooth in Mid tier to high end phone
Yes, they've uploaded some episode of JKT48 TV focusing on their gameplay and I saw some local gaming channel talking about it
I suggest try watching some of their videos in JKT48 TV since most of them have a translation already
I don't think so, there's some qualification to participate in an event as big as that and nobody in Valkyrie play ML I think. But at least we see UG perform there
@ootamudkip @Idol-chan_Spiffy smart people can see a big chance. Hope Valkyrie48 would have a new subdivision for Bang Dream and tons new fans will come to JKT48. Bang Dream is currently the fastest growing franchise in Japan and it's also very popular among Indonesian weebs.
Hey all On behalf of the MNL guys, just wanted to ask some questions: How successful would you guys say Valkyrie48 has been? For JKT overall? In its own right? For exposure? Everything. Just curious. Kiiiiinda wanna know what to expect/things MNL can improve on, since they just announced their equivalent like...last weekend. You know. It's a cool concept (Idols you can meet...with VIDEO GAMES), but I just wanna make sure we do this right lol Also, JKTxMNL Esports challenge down the line? I'd be down for that. Who else? Haha
I'd say the members perhaps get a new fans among the gamers. But overall there is nothing notable yet. There is nothing wrong in both JKT and MNL's decision since there are big chunks of people will probably into girls with games. I'd say they'll grow bigger in time. And competition between Valkyrie48 and MNL's a really good idea and I'm positive that's what management's had in mind.
Has been good for the fans who are gamers. Lots of live streams, playing with fans during Handshake Festivals. Valkyrie also get invited to some events and feature on some other YouTube channels. They had a short mini-series on YouTube with RRQ (Indonesian e-sports team). But so far in terms of the professional gaming world, they haven't "debuted". The whole pro aspect remains to be seen. They recently lost to a team of fans and I guess there are some doubts about their ability but only time will tell.
TBH I don't think they'll have enough time to properly practice for competition. I mean they have to balance schedule between school, idol practice, performance, while we all know it takes time to practice for pro gaming
