Well, for a casual inter fan, will you pick a K-pop group with tons of English contents that you can understand and watch immediately, or will you pick a J-pop group with limited contents that will take months or probably will take forever to watch them with English sub?

The fact that the Korea television stations make their best effort to put English sub on their own videos is already a clear answer to the question: "which pop culture provide more benefit toward an international fan?".

Things like "this group has better skill than that group" or "this group's song has more meaningful lyrics than that group" blah blah blah... are just side factors after you become a fan of a certain group. B/c I'm pretty sure AKB's fans don't become fans b/c AKB has good skill in dancing or singing or performing, just like K-pop's fans become fans of certain K-pop groups b/c their songs have huge impact/ meaningful lyrics.

I think most people of that type only miss those girls in that setting which is why they want them to switch to k-pop. Liking them in produce doesn't necessarily mean they'll continue to like them in a different setting like the 48G where the music and performances are a bit "messy" if you're used to different stuff. It's similar to how some 48G fans didn't follow the girls they liked in produce imo.

Yup, that's the nature of the beast for Produce groups. They have a lot to do in a short span of time (relatively) and they can do a lot if they keep up their pace (without sacrificing their health). Let's help them achieve their goal of global renown before their time is up.

Question as someone who is pretty new to kpop, do they not do concert tours like you see in Japan? Like multiple shows on multiple nights in a row just them, or a tour of different cities over the course of a few weeks or months? Most of the performances I see seem to be a song or two in a concert with several other groups, or a "showcase" with just maybe 5-7 songs. Is that just how it is done in Korea?

So far, they've mostly had appearances at 'festivals' (not quite the right word but events where multiple acts perform).

However, they had the fan-meeting in Japan, which lasted 2 days and where they performed their own songs

And they are about to start their own Asia tour in Seoul, Hong Kong, Taipei and Bangkok, called "Eyes On Me Asia Tour"

It's all with due time! :)

many predicted them to do korean cb on late august or september. By comparing release date and promotion of IZ*ONE album
    1st on oct 18
    2rd on feb 19
    3rd on april 19
    4rd on jun 19
next should be start on aug, or they will choose and wait 4 months until oct, the same date as their lead single debut, La Vie en Rose, their group first anniversary:)

they will be super overworked with the japanese single and the tour, but at the same time I dont know if they should wait till October to come back. They have great momentum, waiting 6 months between releases being rookies seems a bit too much (considering the Korean public wont care for their japanese single and last thing they know from them is Violeta in April)

they are working in 2 country, their popularity won't drop that easy since they are not taking any long breaks from doing activity like concerts or tv etc, also gap between COLOR*IZ with HEART*IZ is 6 month only, we should be grateful, their sister group Fromis_9 also will release new album this jun, but it took them 8 month since love bomb on oct last year, that almost the same time izone debut:^^;: and others kpop idol group also taking as much time as much as izone did to make new cb in korea, and most of them are unfortunate, cuz within those 6 month period, they don't have much activity to do, while they rest and do nothing, izone keep working, their popularity rising, and they keep the money flowing by selling album and other stuff[hehe]

doesn't need the kneitz opinion about their japanese single, cuz they need to be reminded that the japanese market are one of their biggest money makers for their idols, take a look at twice for example, doesn't izone activity almost similar to them? and more others gg following them in 2019, rv, momoland, even the same 2018 ROTY gg title holder as izone, g-idle are aiming activity in japan atm, they already did well for violeta even after suki, they'll be fine;)

@humbal nako doesn't have blood type [hehe] so, how do we play this?, i dunno if we can play either ...
