omg yes. Aimyon and Yonezu Kenshi have been dominating the Japanese music charts all of last year and so far this year
Not the best physical sellers (like AKB/Nogi or Johnny's) but they're (Aimyon, Yonezu Kenshi) dominant on digital platforms.
well ... in Dutch that would mean 'nonsens48' ... could be worse though ... if it started with an 'L'
Maybe we could expect an announcement at the Malaysia concert for a Malaysia48 sister group. Would be interesting. I don't know, though, if it would work there or not.
I couldn't decide between the graduated member thread or this one, but chose this one in the end. Weekly Bunshun ran their 2nd All-Time AKB48 SSK, and the winner is .... Yuko! just beating out Sayanee who won the 1st All-Time AKB48 SSK More than 10,000 voters "The 2nd All-time Best AKB 48 General Election" 1st place Yuko Oshima "Yuko's smile was so cute when I first saw AKB 48, and I became an idol for the first time. Even if I was not at the center I was shining from the center" (24 years old, female) 2nd place Sayaka Yamamoto "Singing, dancing, expressive skills are outstanding. But despite their efforts, they are still growing. Fans are broad regardless of gender and age regardless of age. There are more people coming to live for the first time after graduation, more and more from now on "I am not good at idols, but there are many people who say that I like Yamamoto Sayaka. I think it can be admired by members and other idols" (22 years old, female) 3rd place Atsuko Maeda "I have seen the old AKB, the current AKB, but I think it's the only one that's suitable for the No. 1 center, and that only she is sparkling" (19 years old, female) 4th place Rino Sashihara 5th place Mayu Watanabe 6th place Reina Matsui 7th place Haruka Shimazaki 8th place Miyawaki Sakura 9th place Kojima Haruna 10th place Kashiwagi Yuki 11th place Miyuki Watanabe 12th place Takahashi Minami 13th place Rina Kawaei 14th place Mariko Shinoda 15th place Itano Tomomi 16th place Yui Yokoyama https://bunshun.jp/articles/-/12319
Its a reality that Jurina is not that popular to the general public. I'm not even sure when it comes to actual number of fans. Well it is what it is. She still does well in handshake and was able to garner the second most number of votes by any member in SSK. There are things to be happy about if you're a Jurina fans but there are things to long for as well. Of course we can always count in those who do not like her to rub in what she's lacking.
Just wondering what happening because well I know AKB won't hold sousenkyou this year already, but when will they announce their next single? It's been a while isn't it? It's never been this long between singles!
I'd say somwhere in the upcoming days or weeks. It seems they did not move the originally planned shedule and are going to anounce the release as if the sousenkyo happened.
welp, the AKB48 (only?) nationwide tour just got announced https://twitter.com/dede_maru/status/1139493537978839040 First time in 4 years, that should be something to be excited about
Actually no date for team 8. Heck, check the members for team senbatsu. If not for naru, nagi, yuiyui, berin, it's just AKB4 tour.
The prominent contender for ridiculous naming is still MUM48. Still can't get used to STU48 too. If a Malaysian sister group to AKB48 were to happen, it'll be a very interesting group to follow. They have pretty diverse ethnicities over there, so perhaps we'll see lots of variety of multicultural members on display? If anything for me that's a good thing. Indonesia while also diverse, is too big to have every region's beauties & cuties represented in JKT48.
But every Team 8 member is part of AKB4 teams as kennin so they perform on AKB4 dates too. It's not just the 4 senbatsu girls who will be in this tour.
