Honestly, I don't want local sister groups yet. We're not there yet in terms of popularity and I'm afraid that the local sister group wouldn't work considering the market for local artists.

 

I'm really afraid on having sister groups for MNL. They really need to have a strong and stable popularity in order for the group to have longer years in the entertainment industry.

 

Considering Cebu and Davao both speak Bisaya, I think only one of the two will likely be formed, unless they will be sharing songs or something.

I like the idea to have a separate sister group but to be realistic i'll stick to MNL only and have as many diverse member throughout the member line-up. Our fan base is so small that i don't want groups to be divided and start comparing who's great or not.

 

Until MNL gets as popular as BNK, or at least JKT, this is a bad idea

 

This may work only if they intend to keep it small. Like maybe just one team. And, assuming its not HHE but some other company interested in producing a local version for the Visayan market.

CEB48 may not be a bad idea if they think they can get the people in the Visayas, and probably Mindanao as well since many speak Bisaya there, to support the group and is enough to make a profit.

At least if ever, I can imagine they can make more picturesque PVs there for a lesser cost since Cebu City alone is such a beautiful place.

Considering though that MNL48 right now is still just a niche market and far from being popular to the general public, I don't think there is a reason to believe that a Visayan sister group would be profitable.

I'd saw this pic from the source tells it is leak from one of the social media sites before it became down told by the Indonesian wota. Also the fun fact is the group page made around 2 months ago.
