I posted this on Acchan's thread, but I think it's relevant to AKB, and it's an achievement for the group, so I post it here as well. This is from some months ago and it's related with the Heisei era. on January, the newspaper Asahi Shimbun published a drawing for the 30 years of Heisei which included photos of celebrities who represent the era, and Acchan appeared on it, in her AKB clothes! Some months later, the newspaper Yomiuri Shimbun published photos of the faces that represent Heisei era, and for the 21-31th year of Heisei, Acchan is there! again, in her AKB outfit.

it's interesting to note that Acchan seems to be the only idol in both of these images. and both photos of her are from her AKB years. As we all know, she was the face of AKB, so her image here is used not only for herself but to represent AKB as a whole, and idols of Heisei as a whole (since there's no other idols here). I find this to be a huge achievement both for Acchan and for AKB. it shows how popular AKB was at their peak and that the impact they left on the public will always be remembered. (imo it also shows the importance of having a face of the group, it's like a main character in a serie, if not for this, AKB might not have been referenced in these ways)

As a fan of AKB who fell in love with them in 2010, this makes me so happy. They were THE perfect idol group. I will always cherish those times!

I hope the current AKB can look up to this and know that AKB (as a name and brand) is still popular, relevant and even respected to be included in important photos like this. and the current members are all part of this AKB, even if it's different times. I'm sure they can make the best out of it and hopefully achieve their Tokyo Dome dream too ^^/

I made a thread before asking Stage 48 members to choose only one group from all of 48G and Sakamichi groups, and the result showed that the votes for Nogi + Keyaki combined were more or less the same for the votes for all 48Gs.

Now I am wondering which fandom do stage 48 members identify more? 48G? Sakamichi? And now that we have Izone and we were even allowed to vote for Korean members in the annual stage 48 poll, I won't be surprised if there are stage 48 members who joined the forum because of Izone. I will put International 48G as a separate choice for those who identify more as a fan of an international sister group than any Japan 48G.

I intend to post this in all general threads so as to invite the fans of each group to cast their votes. Downside though that is that those who subcribe to more than one general thread will get a notification for this more than once, so sorry for the notif.

My opinion on the board shuffle and new business plan-
Perhaps, Matsumura is not really punished. He is assigned to IZ*One which is on the rise. If IZ*One makes a significant accomplishment such as, over 380,000 copies sale, sold out Tokyo Dome concert, which is doable, it can be used as the excuse to bring Matsumura back. Besides, regarding IZ*One's business success, the partnership between AKS and CJ may not end at the expiration of IZ*One. The partners plausibly will launch a longer term 48+K-pop project and, Matsumura, as the experienced person, may again be assigned to that project. This will give Matsumura a significant role yet put a distance between him and any Japanese group.

Is Yoshinari herself a root of the problem? If she is, will this board shuffle help?

What is the meaning of oversea growth? More oversea sister groups/the growth of oversea sister groups or, the growth of AKB's oversea market? Perhaps, it's the latter. BNK's fans have doubted if AKS prioritize the growth of AKB's popularity oversea over the growth of oversea sister groups thus, the original song/original stage is restricted.

What is internet business? What kind of internet business will AKS do? Online shopping and voting? HHE (MNL's agency) has been doing this but yet no success. I don't think AKS will run online shopping either as there is no advisor from that business. If AKS plans to launch its own streaming platform, judging from the turnover of Showroom, that may not be a smart move.

So, this show is called "maru maru". I was curious about this.
I love this mini web show. It's cheap. It showcases the members' characters without the disturbance from some male comedians. It helps solidify teamwork. It gives the member the chance to improve as MC/show host. It does not take much time to watch. Members rely on the producer's mercy in AKBingo but, everyone in this show got themselves shown well. It's better for unpopular members to shine in this kind of show.

Someone said that members' live streaming could not effectively fish new fans as only existing fans watch it. This is a much more effective way to introduce new girls.

But, which shareholder has loud voice? Usually, only major shareholders, those of 5+% of shares, have loud voices. And, usually, major shareholders are persons with close relation to the boss or corporate investors and they aren't short-term investors. Short-term investors, as they focus on short term trading, do not really care about business plan and not highly involve in the business administration.

Besides, in a public company, they may discuss in big picture in the shareholder meeting. For example, shareholders may vote if AKS should run drama production business and how much AKS can invest into the business but, they can't tell AKS how much it can invest into each drama, in what genre the drama should be, who will be director or protagonist etc.

AKS is partly, not entirely, sold.

To resell with profit, B Dash has to increase the value of AKB first. Whether B Dash will later resell its shares or not, the value increase is already beneficial to AKB.

As AKS is planned to go public in 5 years, certainly, B Dash was welcome under the condition that it would support AKS to reach that goal.
