I've done a lot of subbing the past few months, but I am much more comfortable with Timing than I am with JPN-ENG translation. When/if you ever decide to translate some shows and need a Timer or something else, let me know! I'd be happy to help on any AKB shows :)

First sentence is correct, but hard to avoid considering the sheer number of members and by having some core members. Second part depends mostly on one's personal bias, doesn't it? You blame Mouri for being biased, but we all are biased and want our favorite girls to appear.

I disagree here. Let's check the current top ten of 2019.

    Hama Sayuna 31
    Okabe Rin 31
    Oguri Yui 30
    Shitao Miu 30
    Mukaichi Mion 28
    Suzuki Kurumi 27
    Yamauchi Mizuki 26
    Komiyama Haruka 25
    Kubo Satone 24
    Omori Maho 24
    Utada Hatsuka 24

These are all my personal opinions.
Top at variety: Hama, Okabe, Mukaichi, Komiyama
Usually funny and entertaining: Suzuki, Kubo, Omori, Utada
Bad at variety: Oguri, Shitao, Yamauchi

The three bad ones are popular pushed members and Oguri is usually good for a lot of funny scenes, although not because of herself but because of what the other members and Muramoto make of her.

That usually depends on the theme for each episode. Something like Bucchake Baseball or Nihongo Nadeshiko Battle is really good to give all members screentime. Other episodes usually have games or projects for a couple of members and then it depends on the hosts to ask good questions/to include the other members. Bunbun EIto usually had a slightly smaller selection of members, so it was easier to include most of them.

People often want their favorite members to be there and we don't always know the exact reasons why they aren't there. I agree it's probably just the choice of the staff, but maybe sometimes there are other reasons. Manaka has nearly 50 appearances over 2.5 years. Nothing great, but it's not like she was missing in action all the time.
Naamin got more invitations lately and I am pretty sure she would have further increased her appearance rate if the show didn't end. Seina had a lot of appearances and she is a prominent member of AKBingo. I definitely started to like her because of Bingo.

I don't exactly disagree, but there is a lot of conjecture here. We don't know all the details so it's hard to say if it's 100% the fact whether you're on Mouri's shit list or not.

I saw Odaeri two weeks ago the last time and the last relevant scene was in July when someone threw a water balloon in her face in slow motion.

I already know basically all members for a while, I just freaking love the show. That's why it is a pretty big deal for me.

I am not really into their theater performances so I usually use all the different variety shows to get to know them. I never said AKBingo is the only show/way. Personally I prefer subtitled variety shows as that makes it easier to remember their personalities and names (I need to be able to read the names in Romanji). As I tried to remember several hundred of members it still took quite a while and a lot of episodes from tons of different shows. And depending on the members the shows were just an appetizer and I checked out the members later.

Ok, are we now playing the "I know her longer than you do" game? If you want to know I already knew (means recognize face, name and personality) her before her recent push on Bingo and despite not having watched her performing or on the Kansai show. Hama is the type of member you remember instantly.

can we make petition for this, i mean.. i remmber in 2018 running man was supposed to be canceled but international fans make petition or something like that, and bc the high demand from the international SBS rethinking their decision and resulting the show is still airing till today.

And what we will say? "Hey dudes! We are international fans! We want to keep watching AKBINGO even if it's not available to watch abroad and each way of watching it outside Japan is illegal due to NTV copyrights!". Unfortunately it's our situation as foreign fans :cold:

and would you have known the girls if you watched Anta Roke? It has had the same uninventive casting as Bingo.
And is it all Mouri's fault? Ruka was supposed to appear, but the management screwed up and forgot to tell her and clear her schedule. I don't see why she wouldn't be allowed to appear at any other episode as a compensation if the management wanted. Instead it took almost a year before she appeared. They clearly didn't care.
everyone? Honda, Cho and the other top 5-6 members were everywhere while the rest got at most 1 line in the 1 appearance they were granted
just ctrl+F for their names here to see perfect balance https://ja.wikipedia.org/wiki/AKB_チーム8のブンブン!エイト大放送
how the hell is this more accessible and useful way than SR
she can be hilarious by herself, but she's suited more for shows like Roke Roke - and do I still need to remind everyone she advanced to round 2 in the female geinin competition?! - while the role they gave her in Bingo did not offer her many opportunities. People had had this idea she is just a cute boring pushed girl (the second Mayuyu after all:awesome:) and the show was pretty much reinforcing that, with the heavy help of Muramoto - it maybe wasn't bad by itself as it's a standard variety pattern, but it stuck this unfortunate image that she does something lame yet wins in the end because Muramoto helped her. For example, and from what I remember, I think she did really well in the Mion quiz, where she could do those tennen/boke jokes she's good at.

Not AKS literally. Japanese show business is still in XX century, because so many old grandpas are working as executive managers(especially in TV) and they still can't believe that there's something like internet.
Now because of IZ*ONE we can compare situation between Korea and Japan. Each performance from Korea is available on YouTube... Each performance in Japanese TV is being removed as fast as possible.

Hope that new owners of AKS will make new program as I've wrote above in more world wide open format.

Do you mean that woman who is also the head of Kyoraku ?
A company who build and sell game machines for japanese casinos ?

Well, It's more complex than that (TV, images, author rights, these things are complicated enough to have a statue suffering from headache), AKS doesn't do the programs, even though they are co-producing (IE they bring money).
The final product is mainly in the broadcaster's hand.
In short, it's their footage, their intellectual property, they do whatever they want with them.
On another hand, it's a question of where the money is going.
The broadcaster earns through ads and from the ratings. It gets nothing from whatever streaming platform it has no contracts with, while the said platforms gets something though their own advertising, moneytisation etc. (partly why it's called robbery).

AKS could still monetize on streaming platforms, but it's not in their business sense. Remember expanding AKB48 internationally means selling the concept abroad.

well its nothing wrong to feel sad and mad that their own favorite show is ending. i think you are missing the point, a lot of people which are just casual fans just want to see a good written weekly variety show with akb in it.And bingo is just that and most of its episode is subbed so that's a plus for us who dont speak moonrunes. most don't care for every single members, they just want a good time and if there's a member that peaked their interest then its a bonus.

Bingo is one of the easiest ways for foreigners to learn about the members because this is content that actually gets subbed and there is, maximum, 5 episodes that have not been subbed. It's not the end of the world, but it is really sad because it has indeed helped girls with popularity (can we remember Ohori Megumi here please???) and even though they had these punishment games, you can tell that the girls loved the show a lot.

I enjoyed both episodes. I've also enjoyed many of the previous episodes. You know it's not a competition between the episodes, right?

What I like about AKBingo is that for the most part it changes folks for the better. The girls find something that can be appealing. Suzuki Kurumi finding her Sento-Kun bit for example. Even Muramoto has changed a bit. He's become more softer in his jokes towards the girls as compared to when he first started.

never said anything about competition, last week episode was very good, so i expect this week episode to be at least on par, but it didn't, that's all

Saw komouri Mika in those clips. She was the prototype kurena. Poor at variety but still a favorite Minus the guitar.
