In the first part Maeda Ayaka, Asai Nanami and Nagatomo Ayami go to a printing factory to watch the 16th gen concert DVD wrappings being printed.

In the second part Muto Orin, Yamane Suzuha, Taguchi Manaka and Yamauchi Mizuki went to the editing studio and were given the chance to try editing the "RIVER" performance part of the 16th gen concert.

Good! Those girls are my fav 16th gen so I can't complain and they are always a wonderful duo. It's nice to see that they "push" (even if it a huge on) those girl they got talent! Longer uniform are trendy now (thanks to the 46 groups). Mizuki has always is the one that does the choreography most precisely.

This 16h gen is growing so good. The stage they are currently performing is incredibly fun to watch, and I can't believe how much they become a team in one year.

I thought I was dreaming when I saw it yesterday, but it's for real — NicoNico has a new ongoing program, of the rather long kind (like Wa-Suta's if you've seen that), starring 16ki (only!), and with a woman geinin as MC. The title is AKB48 16期生のけん生! (AKB48 16-Kiseki no Kenshyu!).

Now, I can't figure out from the page just exactly how “regular” it is. There are no further episodes in the 48G schedule page and the first episode's video page says nothing about when the next one is. Maybe they say it in the end of the video, in which case I'll update this when I get to it. All we know is that the video title says “first episode”.

edit1: The video available in Various Places™ online is choppy as heck whatever it is Satomina did, it's completely missing from the file. I wish I could just buy the (rather cheap really) NicoNico premium, why do they hate my money?

edit2: Honma Mai's continued presence in AKB is an endless source of amazement nandeyanen kono ko

edit3: At the end they specifically said they don't know where the next one is yet but they'll be doing a kendama challenge.

The second episode of AKB48 16期生のけん生! aired today. The 16th gen members managed to pass the kendama challenge and won the takoyaki party award for the whole gen! The episode also contained "moe dialogue" segment (Zukkii took the first place).

I didn't find any mentions of the air date of the third episode, but hopefully the program will continue.

Ishiwata Sena and Saito Haruna had their theater debut today at the "Shuugyouchuu" stage (info source: Zukkii's mobame). Zukkii watched the performance on DMM and gushed about their cuteness.

 

Now after debuts its time for some new kenkyuusei!

 

Mion said she's already met the new Kenkyuusei, so I think we'll get to see them soon! I'm very excited

 

I still don't know how to feel about a/the new gen..
On one hand I think it's highly needed that AKB gets new, fresh blood, but on the other there are still too many members (in my taste) to add a new bunch of girls...
I just hope it will be a "small" (max 10) generation at least.
