Very, pleasantly, surprised to only have three this time.
    77. Maeda Ayaka - Such a great member. So warm and charming on the stage. I haven't heard anything recently about her condition but I hope she gets well soon. Glad another Huetone made a strong showing
    68. Hoshino Minami - She was my first favorite in Nogizaka and I always found myself rooting for her on shows or seeking out her material more, over others. I don't really watch 46 content anymore and haven't been keeping up but I would have felt remiss if I hadn't kept her on my list. I believe I recall correctly reading once she tried out for AKB but didn't make it. What a loss for them!
    55. Takino Yumiko - What a great center. She has such a fresh, wholesome energy. TBH I don't know a ton about her but whenever I see her it's positive and I think she's the kind of spokesperson 48G could use right now. I hope she's able to take STU further and further.

I intended to vote for Yamamoto Ayaka but I really haven't been following NMB that well and I just put someone else there instead. She deserves a good position though, I have a lot of confidence in her as the new NMB Ace.
Sakaguchi Nagisa intrigues me but I can't figure out what it is. I don't personally think she's exceptionally pretty but she seems to have a glow about her regardless, like a Mayuyu, classic Idol aura. Another girl who was in the running for me. I also like her regional promotional work. Good member
I don't particularly have any strong wota feelings for Sakamoto Erena but I respect her for being creatively independent and pushing ahead with her idol ambitions while staying true to HKT as well. Have to admire her earnestness.
Asai Nanami impressed me with her comments on an episode of Bingo where they talked about the current state of AKB. Nothing spectacular but she seemed to have a good head on her shoulders and honest character. She has a fresh appeal like Takino and reminds me of early Kashiwagi before she got her "blackheart" character.
Putting everything that happened in NGT aside, I think it's unfortunate that members who weren't involved and had been so promising like Homma Hinata are being negatively impacted. While I can't say I'm knowledgeable about her, she steals my attention every time and seems like a great performer all-around.
Kubo Satone, or Kubone as I can't help but call her, is very difficult not to like. Resisting was futile. I strongly considered putting her on my list but assumed she'd have enough fans to make a good showing regardless. I wouldn't at all be surprised if she has a high spot for me next year.
While none of them are favorites of mine, I can easily see voting for members like Nakanishi Chiyori, Mogi Shinobu, Yoshida Akari, Moriyasu Madoka, Furuhata Nao, Takayanagi Akane and Tashima Meru on merit alone, having been pillars for their groups for so long.

Lots of reveals for day six!

    04. 98. (250) [8|0] [K46] Matsuda Rina - One of the top four of Keya's second gen, in my opinion. She's good at leading MCs and seems to be a natural leader. I'd really like to see her center a song, an A-side would be awesome, but a B-side would be great as well.

    06. 78. (64) [9|0] [IZN] Kim Chaewon - My favorite of the K-line and I still get her mixed up with Jo Yuri.

    07. 70. (250) [10|0] [K46] Morita Hikaru - Another one of my Keya second gen top four. I've never thought her height to be a disadvantage and I was happy to see that someone in management took the chance to have her center Kuroi Hitsuji.

    09. 82. (359) [6|0] [K46] Tamura Hono - The last in my Keya second gen top four, but not ranking-wise, I feel they're all equal. She's got a good attitude and like watching her on Kakenai. I'd also like to see her take a center spot sometime, being chosen to flank Techi for they 9th single helps to push her in that direction.

    11. 90. (115) [9|0] [H46] Miyata Manamo - My favorite burikko. (That should be a TV show.) I enjoyed her being on the Snack Mao segments and I feel she's getting a bit more screentime on HinaAi. I'm still hoping for a photobook.

    12. 60. (90) [10|0] [K46] Kobayashi Yui - She grew enough on me last year to rank this high on my list. I'm not sure why it took me so long to start following her.

Her last year consisted of some good moments, like a chance with Team 8 events + stage play + NHK Kouhaku, got a gravure on FLASH special, and some frustating moments, mainly came from SR events (it was sad to witness her disappointments one after another :cry2::cry2:). Nevertheless, she's the same as the year before, adorable and clumsy, sometimes just too much I started to worry about her future after she graduates (some example : 1, 2, 3) and I still enjoyed watching her SR. Hoping this year she'll find some success with a SR event and get a work from her own prefecture (c'mon, Kagawa, you can do this!)

    87. (149) [5|1] [AKB] Sakaguchi Nagisa {+42,-5}, 37

    Cute, tenshi!
I'm going to confess I didn't understand at first why many Team 8 fans hyped about her so much, but when I had a chance to meet her in person, she was so adorable and small, then I became one of her fans before I even knew...:fp:. Also her photos from Team 8 events looked good.

    95. (175) [5|0] [HKT] Sakamoto Erena {+35,0}, 35
Same wih other HKT members, I didn't follow her much, except SR and some theater performances which she seemed to do well in both, her SR is enjoyable (I like when she sings a song during SR) and her expression during theater performances is good.

    57. (67) [10|0] [AKB] Oda Erina {+50,0}, 50

Beautiful and funny, looks better with long hair!
Seemed to be a good year for her, got a chance with some stage plays and Team 8 events, was selected as Senbatsu for Team 8's song and to perform with some 48G members in NHK Kouhaku, participated in a SR event and got a prize. I gave her a vote for her decision to do SR every day, plus her SR is fun to watch, because sometimes she'll come up with unexpected content, like kindergarten ice-cream vending machine assembling.

Renapon best-looking idol in a baseball uniform? Anyway, another of my favorites and one of the NGT trio. She's doing so well as a voice actress; I was worried we wouldn't get to see much of her after graduation, but she's been nicely active with video promotions as well.

Manatsu is my longstanding Nogi oshimen, and becoming captain was just a little more icing on the cake (I do have something for smart, powerful women...). Reliable in variety, caring for the group, and consistently terrible singing. Her first photobook is my personal favorite — quite looking forward to #2 being delivered this week.

I appreciate a lot about Jurina, and honestly it's been hard to watch from the 2018 sousenkyou to now. 2019 was a rough year for her, and it's hard to believe how much she'd been through by age 22. Despite the problems she soldiered on, kept trying to make comebacks. Hopefully more time, and some pressure off her back, will lead to more good things.

On a side note, nice to see Macharin holding steady, and Kitano surge! :^^;:

    50. (47) [19|8] [SKE] Matsui Jurina{+80,-27}, 53
While I sometimes have her between "love and hate" category, I do enjoy her performance. Until now, I'm still surprise that she had announced her graduation...
    45. (90) [14|0] [N46] Matsumura Sayuri{+61,0}, 61

Let's go, Sakamichi! Didn't vote for my Nogi faves because I'm pretty mainstream with them and figured there's more than enough fans out there who'll vote for them in my stead.

    I predict: Nogi domination for the remaining rankings, including top ten. It's about time for these rankings to reflect the current reality in JP in regards to female idol popularity - no shade intended (;

Our two most favorite polarizing idols. Both so loved yet so hated by many. [hehe] Coincidentally, Techi and Jurina have both left their respective groups this year, but no doubt their legacy will last.

All of my votes have been revealed, the two revealed today were the only ones I had any hopes they'd break into top 10 and... they didn't :censored:

    05. 43. (63) [11|0] [AKB] Taniguchi Megu{+64,0}, 64 (+7) (Ya-ho Sa-ho Team B's Taniguchi Megu, an irresistibly nice Idol)

    07. 30. (46) [17|0] [AKB] Fukuoka Seina{+87,0}, 87 (+5) (You say Sei-chan and you say this is the prettiest smile in B or you're a :censored: liar)

TII is my favourite but real-talk Team B ist just so freaking strong and these two are the ones that I find the most charming in that pile of endless charm.

Girls I regret not having voted for and will vote for in case me and we all are still here next year:

    230. (384) [2|0] [AKB] Kawahara Misaki{+11,0}, 11: Team B's so stroooong, Missaa is a one of a kind beauty and it amazes me how she does not give off any vibes of "I'm too pretty for this job and these fans".

    290. (305) [2|0] [HKT] Takeda Tomoka{+6,0}, 6: Moka-chan's more of a "princessy" type and yet when she gets happy/excited, she looks like a very cheerful simpleton, love this girl. She got frustrated over not beign selected for HKT's senbatsu and a bitter 4th at the showroom TGC event but I'm sure good things are to come for her (wota have commented "I'm not dying until I see Moka-chan gravure released").

    107. (111) [8|0] [HKT] Murakawa Bibian{+32,0}, 32: I love this person's name and personality.

    330. (322) [1|0] [HKT] Aramaki Misaki{+4,0}, 4: Colder than Sonochin, TII's standoffish pretty face also suffered an unholy defeat to NMB's focused-on-one-girl method and Team 8's representatives in the TGC event, she still keeps a cold face and not a hint of crying or tears.

    Also to Nogizaka fans:

    28. (119) [17|1] [N46] Kaki Haruka{+93,-3}, 90: Any particular reason you'd know for that -3? I saw one incident that gave me the idea this girl gets very easily pissed off (another member teased her with a butt-touch and she did a shoulder bump on them, nothing serious though).

    ...What do I even say?

    47. (54) [10|0] [STU] Ishida Chiho{+58,0}, 58
Chiho actually lost a voter, and two points.

    47. (23) [11|0] [NGT] Hasegawa Rena{+58,0}, 58
Rena lost 8 voters and 40+ votes. I'm actually surprised she stayed so high. Of course, she was relatively high the year before (78?), but compared to 2017 - she still ranked higher. I guess this whole situation got more people paying attention to her.

    47. (52) [9|1] [AKB] Utada Hatsuka{+60,-2}, 58
Why would anyone give Hattsu negative votes? I seriously do not understand that.

    44. (56) [14|0] [HKT] Murashige Anna{+63,0}, 63
I am honestly not sure how did Anna find herself out of my ranking this year... Looking at it back, she should have been there (although in lower ranks). Probably because my interest in her fluctuates a lot.

    42. (64) [15|0] [N46] Iwamoto Renka{+67,0}, 67
Well done! I'm happy for her, she's really great. She's my favorite Nogizaka member, I think? but I don't follow them or her closely enough to vote.

    37. (216) [16|0] [N46] Endo Sakura{+73,0}, 73
I actually expected her to rank higher... She did get 16 people voting for her.

    34. (31) [17|8] [K46] Hirate Yurina{+101,-26}, 75
    34. (26) [15|1] [K46] Nagahama Neru{+76,-1}, 75

TechiNeru ranking both on 34 is interesting. I'm not surprised about Yurina getting a lot of negatives, if I were a Keyaki fan... I don't really know what I would feel after 2019.

    32. (32) [13|0] [AKB] Yokoyama Yui (Team 8){+79,0}, 79
She lost 9 votes and 8 voters (21 -> 13). However, showed again that she's super likable, even though she had her scandal. Interesting. Another girl who was just out of my ranking (and likely will be in next year).

    26. (35) [19|1] [IZN] Honda Hitomi{+107,-3}, 104
She actually gained quite a lot of votes - 24, and has the exact same number of voters. I'm glad she's higher this year! She is still 3rd in IZONE, which makes sense as it as a 48G forum. She was not in my ranking last year, but I included her this time - she was always a member I liked, but IZ*ONE really showed me more of her and I like her a lot.

Few more from my list today:

The lovable Kazumin, glad to see her getting some love. It seems the majority are right and N46 might just dominate the upper tiers.

I've always liked Jurina. I kinda understand the down votes: she's either your cup of tea or not. Either way for me, she is. She works hard, is energetic and super good to her fans. That is what an idol should be in my mind anyway.

Ah, the polarizing Techi, but she will always be the baby otter to me and Keyaki fans. Its tough to lose her this year and with her being absent for most of 2019, but I cannot bear to even dislike her a little bit. I will always be a Techi fan.

As for the -3 vote. Its hard to say why. My speculation is that its someone with 3rd gen oshimen who felt threatened. Doubt that its from 4th gen fans...but I could be wrong. Its OK, plenty of time to see her grow on you :D

I am by no means a Nao oshi. But I think it fair to give my highest non-oshimen vote to the front lady of the (deservedly) best group of 2019

    =================

Before I forget, I did toss in a -5 vote this year. And it landed in today's bracket
FYI, it is NOT to Jurina. I honour my promise

    20. Otani Yuki (+1) {+1,0}, 1, 417th Place

Akimoto Manatsu - 50th Place - Akimoto is great and probably deserved a higher place tbh. She's so smart. I love members who don't mind putting themselves out there in variety, takes a real strong mentality.
Murashige Anna - 44th Place - in that same note lol, having watched as many HKT shows I could find, it's been really interesting to see how Anna's overwhelming and fragile character in the beginning has evolved into someone who seems much more cognizant and mature in her outlook of herself and others, while still delivering the same level energy and sincerity. I recall Takamina saying how much Anna reminded her of herself way back when she was still pretty young and I can certainly see what she was saying and continues to be the case.
Taguchi Manaka - 34th Place - I'm immeasurably happy that Manaka has so many other fans on here. She is going to be the future leader of AKB one day, I'm 100% confident about it. HUETONE's concert was top tier and she only seems to be getting better in her mc'ing. It's clear from her current performances that all the experience in 2018, being tied for most theater appearances with Kurumi, paid off. I think something that's particularly noteworthy is how she doesn't seem to mind giving others the spotlight while still seeming competitive. I hope she continues to have success in 2020, despite how awful it's been all things considered, and gets more opportunities to promote with the Ayaka, Kurumi powertrio. I probably should have voted for Miichan as first this year but since she's graduating, I wanted to give my top choice to a favorite who I think needed it most.
Kuranoo Narumi - 31st Place - A close favorite for me but can't say I follow her activities super closely. Every performance she does is great. Initially I found her variety and MC a bit lacking but now I really appreciate her quiet determination and drive. I don't get the impression she's as competitive as she was when she was younger and telling Sashi not to pity her but she seems just as strong regardless, like an undeniable center. Glad she ranked so highly.

Endo Sakura seems interesting despite not knowing anything about her. Seeing her so high up I presume she must have a good position there. Seeing Yokoyama Yui so high is certainly surprising given her scandal but I'm glad she still has a lot of support. I've always liked her and I think it'd be a big waste if she left over something like that. To be completely honest, I did feel Sashi's timing for her graduation was just awful, leaving a lot of pressure on Miku to keep HKT afloat and I even gave her a negative vote last year. But, after watching old content again, I can't help but like Sashi. Maybe her leaving when she did was the best thing for HKT's growth. I regret having negative voted last year so didn't do any this time.
