Hirate Yurina (Techi) / Keyakizaka46 1st Generation

Do you think S&F will open Twitter account for Techi (similar to the Keyaki official Twitter) for announcements? I don't expect her to personally post anything at all (in fact, if we have Twitter then her team will manage it) and she already has her personal website but Twitter is much more convenient for fans to comment, share and all that jazz. A lot of her future work will also benefit from promotion over SNS too so I don't see why not.

But I still hope we can wait till the day when Techi's comfortable enough with opening her personal SNS.

 

No way. She is a money making machine for Sony. S&F will "look after" her and scan everyting she wants to say, before it gets out to the public, as long as she is under contract. The best thing you can hope for is something similar to the messaging app that S&F have been using for kyz and htz.
An open system like twitter is asking for trouble. People have fake accounts and use it to intimidate and stalk even common folks. It is probably better to use a closed system, where it is easier to identify people who are making threats, because they could trace back who the bill payer is.

 

Considering her last message to fans has been "do not harass people on SNS" (more or less) I'd say she's not gonna manage her own account. I like the site because it let us hope for a near future in which we'll see her still perform in some way, but I don't want her to go through the same hell (supposedly) fans gave her during these years. Techi's name will still make a buzz and it's easy to guess what kind of journals will use it to sell more, regardless of the quality - or truth - of their articles. Adding random anonymous harassment on SNS would just be masochistic.
Granted, things may change and she'll may surprise us, but right now I hope she is taking her time to heal, relax and recharge... far away from SNS (even thought I like to imagine she's keeping an eye on graduated members who are having a blast on IG and Twitter and hopefully having the same fun as we are).

 

Sorry for the confusion. I was talking about working account (which is managed by mmg, only used for official announcement and not personal posts, etc) and not personal SNS. A few examples are Keyaki official acc (everything managed by S&F, members do not have any control, no personal post whatsoever, etc) or Sankaku official acc (managed entirely by creative crew and not by any of the actors). It’s like the official website but on Twitter.

I don’t expect Techi’s personal SNS at all because let’s be real, she always tries to stay away from it as much as possible. I’d rather put my bet on S&F opening the official fanclub first (easy money for mmg).

The title for the first ost of Sankaku was also announced. The name is 暗く黒く (Kuraku Kuroku - word by word translation would be “Dark and Black”), performed by Zutto Mayonaka de iinoni (ずっと真夜中でいいのに。), a rock group.

Techi, Okada Masaki and Shison Jun sent a birthday video message to Tomoko Yamashita sensei, the author of the manga. Baby otter looks so happy and cute

 

Some people were awfully worried that the spoiled Hirate would never last, or at least have a very hard time adapting, as a solo entertainer in the industry (i.e. the "real world") after being supposedly coddled by her Keyakizaka family and agency all this time. But just look at her in the recent updates, smiling so brightly, being chummy with her co-stars, and just looking like she finally enjoys life again. I don't think I've ever seen her so excited, bright-eyed, and hyper as she was in that other happy birthday video msg to Shison-kun.

 

I miss that otter and her laugh. Looks like she lost weight, those cute cheeks are not as puffy as they once were, she's growing up to be a mature, beautiful young woman.

 

Techi usually only shows her hyper side behind the scenes so actually seeing her being so openly happy and comfortable in front of a camera is really nice.

@rdamon42 they actually filmed the video while the filming process was still going, so around Jan-Feb? We saw that she was still skinny during her last SOL session. But since then, due to the pandemic I think she’s been staying at home and having her well-deserved rest (maybe even gain back some weight lol).

I read somewhere that she will participate as a guest in the next Keyaki live upon fans request. I hope she does so after this Covid-19 situation is resolved

 

I’m quite certain it’s neither true nor it will happen. Doing so would only complicating the whole situation and it won’t be well-received either. Techi can watch the live with other graduates tho. I’m yearning for all the girls to be at one place again.

The only event big enough to have the graduates perform again would be 10th annila imo.

I might get bashed for this but I want to know why she withdrew. We can all guess the probable reasons but it would be nice to hear it from her. As you know, Keyaki just streamed the first half of Keyaki Republic 2017 on YouTube. At the same time, members did live reaction through Twitter. I have compiled the tweets that mentioned Techi/Parco. We can see the “Hirate squad” coming through again

They mostly praised how cool Parco was, the red suit, the opening while referring to Techi as babu/akichan and used lots of baby emoticon (that emoticon can’t show up here). I found it funny when Fuuchan was in disbelief that Techi was already an adult, hence #ForeverBaby. There also one tweet from Masumoto Kira that didn’t enclose any names (so we can’t be sure) but was very likely to be directed to Techi.
