Vivi magazine is taking questions for Techi on Instagram again. I guess we’ll have another feature soon. I really like how Vivi style her, cute and feminine.

 

The Nikkei rankings released yesterday and Techi is super high in the recognition category! She’s neck and neck with Sayanee at around 54% recognition and the only other 46/48 idols I see that are above her are Maiyan and Sasshi. In fact, her recognition is above Hinata, Keyaki, and Nogi (Nogi being the highest at 47%). Unfortunately though her interest rate is on the lower side at 58.5% but I think it will increase again once she gets more jobs.

Compared to 2019 ranking, both her public recognition (45 -> 53.5) and public interest (29.9 -> 31.3) went up. Relative interest went down from 66.4 to 58.5, as the increase in public interest could not match the increase in recognition, I'm not too worried about this. Overall, I think Tokyo Dome, year-end performances (especially Fukyouwaon at Kouhaku) and her withdrawal news gave her more exposure and attention compared to 2018-2019 period. As they removed her from the Idol Power Ranking, unfortunately we can't see how these changes affect her power score (she jumped from #9 to #4 last year).

As you can see, there're 4 zones, including Next Break, Attention, This Season/Trendy and Big Name&Stable. Techi's in the Attention Zone and it seems like she moves a bit further away from the center compared to last year. Not really sure how to interpret that. Hopefully, as Japan returned to their normal routine, Techi will be given more jobs as well. She'll also get some exposure from Sankaku once they start the promotion, but I don't expect too much since she's not the main leads.

The first pic came from a magazine appearance of Shison and Masaki. I'm loving everything Sankaku has given us so far. Erika here is exuding a very mysterious and powerful vibe, but still much different than Hibiki's aura.

Last night was Techi's turn to answer some questions related to Sankaku. For some unknown reasons, they only showed her voice but regardless, Techi oshis were really happy.

Sankaku Twiiter announced that bts cuts will be released in some upcoming magazines.

We're not sure if Techi will appear in those cuts but it's still something to look forward to.​

The biggest event coming up: Techi's 19th birthday I can't believe it's already next Thursday, less than a week to go. Techi's site has not updated her birthday in the upcoming event session which kinda irritates me but maybe I expected too much from mmg. I wonder if she'll celebrate with Masaki and Jun-kun, and of course Keiko-san.

 

I'm so happy to hear that she's in contact with Manaka! And nice to hear Neru is still in contact with members as well.

And I can't believe Techi is almost 19! Time sure flies

Ichikawa Somegoro VIII is such an avid (and handsome lol) fan. This time he shared a list of people who he respected and admired, needless to say Techi is #2 in the list (also the only female). He also shared his drawing of Techi performing Hiraishin. I really want to see them work on a project together again.

My little rant about Techi with kimonos

So I know Techi’s birthday was literally last week but I can’t help thinking that her coming-of-age ceremony is next year. Will we see Techi wearing a kimono? I sure hope we do. Past kimono pics (except for Hibiki special manga cover and men’s kimono) all seem to be taken during 2016-2017. She’s gorgeous in every pattern and it’s a waste to put the idea into the dungeon like this.
