Seeing how Produce 101 Japan season 2 is boys again, I wouldn’t be surprised if there is another Kpopesque group exclusively with AKB48 members. They’d be perfect competition for NiziU.

BNK48, MNL48, & AKB48 Team TP are having original groups, so AKB48 themselves could really start doing it again.

 

Not related to IZONE but since someone commented about Produce.. Don't really think 48G are qualified to enter another Produce series tbh.. The last time it was a fiasco imo since they weren't prepared at all and it aggravated some Japanese people because it showed clear talent discrepancies between Korean and Japanese participants. There are growing number of capable young kids aspiring to be Kpop idols in Japan and if they do a girls version, they should do a nationwide audition like JYP did with Nizi Project or whatever Produce did for their male version(Didn't watch PD101 Jp).

Watch this new video to see how Japanese youngsters are aspiring to be a Kpop star .. Even Matsui Jurina's commentating on it reflecting her time in PD48 a bit. Interesting bit at the end with the worried male announcer asking Jurina how Japanese idols should react to the phenomenon that is Kpop

Also Minju was actually nominated for Female rookie of the year at 2020 MBC Entertainment awards, even tho she didn't won it, it still kinda like a good promotion for her future, nice!

 

I must admit, Hitomi got me so good. I was totally baited.

 

Sasaeng fans claim IZONE's J-line is going back to Japan in January, and they're usually right about these things. VERY weird timing, not sure what's going on behind the scenes

 

Not weird at all. According to reports few months ago Panorama is IZONE's last album and it said the last 4months they are not going to do anything particular music related. Probably the last farewell album in April and they're done. Besides it's about time J-line went and spend time with their families during new year tbh

But wow 2yrs 1/2 went by real fast... Thought it'd be forever. That was a fun journey if you dwell on it a bit.. The J-line did well and did themselves proud. They really improved and learned a lot.

On another thought.. They might not disband? If they're 2021 Pepsi X K-pop promotors... Who knows. I don't really mind if they disband or not because I'd follow them wherever they go but seeing the precedents set by their senior Produce groups we can only assume they will disband.

Also I didn't know they have a new song coming with this Pepsi collab so looking forward to that! (No more coca-cola for me)

If this is true, there's a possibility sakura and nako will be participating in HKT 14th single which will be released in 10th March

 

I'm not sure about that. Even if they are going back to Japan, they have the exclusivity bit. People got really mad when they attended HKT events in the past. If the single got released in April or May, I would say there's a high chance (like 99%) but for a March release, I'm doubtful.

I think at this point even AKB might be waiting for Sakura to return. I could imagine if they wait for late spring 2021, they might make the next single a Sakura x Yuiyui center. I'm not very hopeful for a Hitomi center, although I would like to see her in first or at least second row from now on.
