    I hope she didn't wasted 2 years in Korea. Looking how korean companies with their shady reputations operates, I won't be surprise if they left out Miyu from the group. I'm judging this by seeing how active she has been with her channel lately. All though I dislike Kpop agencies, there are some who can benefit from her talents. Mystic, I don't think is one of them.

    I was sadly expecting this. :( It's time for Miyu to return home. All of her time in Korea has just been a big disappointment, from Produce48 to Mystic.

    It's just very disappointing to see someone so talented not getting any traction, although I always kinda wondered how she would fit in with the whole 'perfect' K-Pop image, let's face it, she's not a run of the mill 'idol' type, even in J-Pop
    I do think she's one of the best vocalists amongst the former and current AKB members, she just needs the right agency.

    Maybe Production Ogi or Mama&Son should pick her up

    I agree. I think she is more suited to be a solo singer. I hope she will get the chance to do it

    Eng translation:
    - She greets the Korean fans in Korean before continuing the video in Japanese. She will upload KR subtitles later.
    - (in Japanese) Miyu talked with the company a long time, then decided to terminate her exclusive contract last month.
    - Miyu thought the announcement on SNS was sufficient, but she'd like to explain further in a video after all while showing her face.
    - Regarding her decision, it was something she thought of about half a year ago. She left the company on her own terms after long discussions. Everything was her own decision.
    - The above is her reason/chronology of events.
    - there were a lot of people that had expectations of her debuting in a group, going by the many messages.
    - Before Rookies were announced, her solo activities were confirmed. In other words, she was in talks with the company to debut as solo, not as a candidate for the group. Her exclusive contract was for a solo career.
    - She learned a lot from producer Yoon Jong Shin. She considers participating in the two song projects her life's fortune. Miyu studied a lot about producing from him. It was a time she was very stimulated. - About the future: at the moment she has only her YouTube channel.

    What I don't understand is, if Mystic wanted her to go solo, why did they add her to the Mystic Rookie group's page?

    It looks like she's started a second MiyuTube channel at https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCYDNZz_uS4aRHZKQ1e-L_0A but there's no content there just yet.

    It seems strange to me that this has come at the same time as the announcement of the debut of the Mystic Rookies group later this year:

    yeah, something went wrong and she re-uploaded it it seems

    tbh ... I think Miyu is better suited as a solo artist, but, like my niece who does jazz, seems to like a style of music which is not that fashionable (or rather mainstream).
    At least that is what I deduce from her solo uploads on YouTube like the bossanova KFC version.

    That's not to say there is no market for that btw
