Shinhannin Flag

Ikoma Rina is going to be in the drama Shinhannin Flag (True Criminal Flag)! The drama is written by Akimoto Yasushi and will be broadcasted on NTV on Sunday at 22:30 JST, starting from 22 October 2021 and January 2022, for 2-cour.

Synopsis:
Sagara Ryosuke is an ordinary salaryman and he works for a mid-size shipping company. He is a good natured person. His family consists of his wife Maho, high school student daughter and elementary school student son. Maho works part-time at a supermarket. They are a happy family, but, Maho and their two children suddenly disappear. There are no clues about their disappearance. Ryosuke gets the attention of the media and public. He tries to find the truth behind his family's disappearance with the help of his subordinate Ninomiya Mizuho at work. (Source: AsianWiki)

Ikoma is casted as Motoki Haruka (23), a mysterious character who approaches the main character, Ryosuke (Nishijima Hidetoshi) on the day of the incident. Her true identity will gradually be revealed.....

(This is actually surprising. Ikoma has SIX stage plays this year alone, and that doesn't include random recitation play in between - so it's amazing to see her and management be able to squeeze this in between. I have given up hope to see her getting cast as one of a regular cast in a drama, so this is really a nice surprise).

SOLO Performance Engeki (7322 Pieces of Love between Me and Maryvelle)

As the name implies, the play will be a solo performance with Ikoma Rina and Matsuda Ryo performing the same story, but with different scripts. The play will be directed by Mouri Nobuhiro who also directed other stage plays that Ikoma starred (Moma's Mars Exploration, Turandot).
The play is about "I" who is drifting in space in search for love with Maryvelle.
A story about "living" toward tomorrow in a vast universe without roads.
*The play will be performed at Tokyo CBGK Shibugeki!! from 6th to 17 October 2021.

A really late reply, but it seems to be a movie where viewers can choose how the plot goes which will lead to various endings, similar to Netflix interactive. How's Ikoma these days? Something new from her?

 

A lot actually happened, it's just nobody updated her thread lol.

From October last year, Ikoma is currently in the drama Shinhannin flag (Guilty flag), with the role of Motoki Haruka (本木陽香）
The drama is produced by the same team from Anata no Ban Desu.
She doesn't appear much in Season 1 (she was busy with stage play at the beginning of the shooting and due to the nature of her character, which is described as mysterious woman who works as a mortician), but she's been appearing more in Season 2.
They're currently at episode 17, with 3 more episodes left.

Ikoma gave Seiko watch to Mouri Nobuhiro, the theatre company's Shonen Shachu producer. She chose him as he changed her life by introducing her to the wonders of the theatre world, which became her main path after graduation from Nogizaka46.

Other than that, she appeared a lot on variety shows and such, and everything is updated on her staff's Twitter. She also occasionally holds online talk event called "Cross Talk", where sometimes she will invites guest (mainly celebrity from Akita). Price is different between fanclub and non-fanclub members though.

 

So happy for her.
That's plenty of opportunities for someone who was so "hated" during her Nogi time

 

i wonder if there's is a chance that Ikoma's character meet Naachan's character in Shinhannin flag 2 since this drama is the prequel of Naachan's drama Anata ban desu..

 

They have a special crossover episode a while back but since Ikoma's character isn't directly related with the main casts at that time, she didn't appear in that episode. Iirc Nishino wasn't there too.

It's only the wotas who hate her, general public who knows about nogi like Ikoma. She's also one of the household name in Akita. There was one time when she made a surprise appearance at a music festival and the crowd went wild for her.

 

yeah they did in the s1, but who knows they might do it again in S2 since not all the cast in Anata ban desu already made an appearance..

 

I'm sure the fans went on fire on Marikka and Ikoma-chan's surprise appearance on last night's 10th BDay Live. If I was there I won't be able to hold my tears.

Othello
Ikoma is cast for the horror drama "Othello", which will start on 24th July on ABC TV. The drama is written by Koji Suzuki of Sadako and Ring fame, and this will be Ikoma first main role in a serial drama.
She will be playing as Yamaguchi Mai and her sister, Yamaguchi Mariko.

P/S: This is not Ikoma first time playing double roles. Her first time was in the stage play Chameleon's Lip, where her performance in the play was praised even by theatre enthusiasts. The digest doesn't really show both characters, but it can be seen here.

A Midsummer's Night Dream

Ikoma will be in Shakespeare's adaptation of "A Midsummer's Night Dream", which will be performed from 6th to 28th September at Nissay Theatre. She will be playing Hermia.
