    She has been named as the second "image character" (イメージキャラクター) of Hiratsuka Keirinjou (平塚競輪場 - Hiratsuka Bicycle Racetrack) for the next year.

    Akane Takayanagi has been active as a member of the idol group SKE48 / Team KII for 12 years, and graduated from the group in April 2021. In recent years, she has also taken on the challenge of acting in earnest, appearing in many movies and theatrical performances, and is also active as a variety show and radio personality. She also holds solo exhibitions of photographs, expanding her field of activity.

    At Hiratsuka Keirin, which aims to raise awareness among the younger generation, Akane Takayanagi, who was active in SKE48, an idol group of the same generation as the target group, was appointed as an image character because it matches the PR strategy. In the future, we are planning to appear in PR posters and promotional videos for the 3rd year of Reiwa, as well as in special events held at Hiratsuka Keirin.

    Together with the already announced first, active dental hygienist and talent Manaka Nishihara (25), she will appear in 2021 PR posters, promotional videos, and special events at the bicycle race track.

    I am very honored to be selected as the image character of Hiratsuka Keirin Stadium! I have had many opportunities to come into contact with bicycle races at work for the past year or so, and recently I just learned about the appeal, but I would like to convey the appeal in my own way so that various people can visit!

    As I’ve posted in Nao’s thread, she and Churi will appear together in the action entertainment play "30-DELUX NAGOYA Action Club MIX Nanashi 2021” of the theater unit 30-DELUX:

    She looks soooo goooood. I love these types of costumes (colorful ones that look like they would fit in with Flying Get's movie version). I'm so happy that Churi is busy and booked after grad. Hope to see her acting work.

    There is also information about the calendar. There will be a handover event on December 13. You can buy 1, 3, or 5 calendars. If you buy 3, she will sign one of them and you get 3 pictures as well.

    IMO it's always much nicer for me to see my name written in Romaji. That's always happened for me in signings except for a year ago when I had two signed photocards from Morning Musume members where my name was written by them in Katakana. I'd only given my name on the application in Romaji so somebody somewhere must have converted it!

    My Japanese teacher always wrote my name in Katakana, so it doesn't feel weird to me to see it that way.
