    48G itself.
With this single, AKB48 made their 46 consecutive No.1 on Oricon chart.
They are the female artists who most consecutive No.1 debut and whose singles get most No.1 on Oricon weekly chart.
    https://jshowbiz.com/english/component/k2/item/15542-akb48-59th-single-oricon-weekly-chart.html
Currently, Guiness World Records lists KinKiKids as the artist with "most consecutive Japanese No.1 singles from debut". Their number is 44 singles as of 28/03/2022.
    https://www.guinnessworldrecords.com/world-records/most-consecutive-no1-singles

Someone should submit AKB48 to GWR.

Hii-chan's strict! but I like it, this strengthens her image that wants AKB48 to improve more using what she learned.
She missed some though, like when Yuiri made the error a few others did too. Poor Maho was trying her best.

From what I have read (though correct me if I'm wrong), Hinatazaka's 6th single sales were lower compared to the 5th single because fewer meet and greet tickets (which we all know make up most of 48/46 sales) were available to buy overall, not because of covid or because of some decline trend. For some reason the 6th single meet and greet slots were shortened from 1.5 hours long to 1 hour long which meant each slot had roughly 1/3rd fewer tickets. According to my ballpark calculation the 6th single simply had around 20-25% fewer tickets available for fans to buy compared to the 5th single. So even with Hinatazaka completely selling out every slot and every ticket for the 6th single (which happened by the late rounds) their sales figures were still be below the 5th single because there were fewer overall tickets for sale, not because of some decline trend or covid.

And to top it off, their 7th single meet&greet tickets recently went on sale and they completely sold out all slots again but even faster, selling everything by the 4th round despite having 30 more slots. I wouldn't call that unstable or a decreasing trend. They'd just keep on selling more and more if there were more tickets/slots available to buy or if there were more members.

Tbh, the song is kinda flat for me...
The mv is good.. compared to the last single. But imho it reminds me too much to the MV of 'Party is Over' ,and somehow the latter is a much better MV

I don't think the songs and MV would affect sales that much though.

It's just the focus has completely shifted to Kpop groups, post vocaloid soloists, and boy groups

Meh, history always repeats itself, at some point idol groups will be super popular again. And Morning Musume will be releasing their 800th single by then lol

Exactly. Seems like almost every single there's usually one person or another pushing their theories about what will increase the revenue or interest or sales. But reality speaks for itself.

Yes, reality does speak for itself. And one of the things it teaches us when looking at the history of AKB48's rise is that the songs and the MVs do matter.

You make it as if I disagree with u. In fact, that was what I wanted to point out.
Remember during akb golden era, male idols don't sell much (relative to AKB at that time), with Arashi being the exception. So that's the rule of life..there is a cycle of trend. Sometimes male idols sell exceptionally well, sometimes soloists..and there will be time when female idol groups become the trendy things.

Looking at Oricon Daily sales and seeing the single at #10, #20 and #16 for the past few days respectively, I'm honestly a little disappointed and worried. If it follows the trend of Ne mo Ha mo Rumor, after this week, it'll only make an appearance in the charts every couple of weeks when a batch of online hanashikai CDs are shipped out again.

I honestly think SKE48 is doing better than them. Yes, both NmHmR and MKd have higher sales than SKE's Kokoro ni Flower, but if you look at chart performance, they have much more longevity. That's a sign to me that the general public is interested in them. It's the same with the Sakamichi groups - even if Sakurazaka has the lowest sales, their singles still stay in the charts for a long time. In fact, Nagaredama randomly ranked again last Sunday after not showing up in the charts for 17 weeks.

I really hope that the group can attract new fans. It's great that they still have quite a large fanbase that ensures 300k+ sales in the first day/week, but I still think it's important that they attract new people and that the single doesn't get forgotten again after 3 weeks of release. I don't have any suggestions on what to do cause I think they promoted a lot...

Personally, I feel this single doesn't have a lot of replay value, unfortunately. There's not really any song that makes me want to listen on repeat. Maybe they'll just need one of those earworms that people can't get out of their heads.

Personally, SKE has better choreography which interested me every time I watch. Both release dance songs but Motokare is just too bland. I enjoy watching it for 1st time but nothing special to make me replay the performance once more time. Another dance focus song, almost the same senbatsu, same outfits in every performance. So what to hype in the 7th performance which nothing changes since the 1st one?
I don't know if anyone cares about this but Kokoro ni Flower lyrics is so much better than Moto Kare, it fits the cheerful, energy image of the song.
AKB48 now seems to follow the "girl can dance" image, I just want management to find out that bright, cheerful song doesn't mean they can't show off their dance skill and synchronize. Next time maybe changing the image and the concept could bring public interest back.
