Single HKT48 15th single [Biisan wa Naze Nakunaru no ka?] (2022/06/22)

Is it just me or the song reminds me of Jiwaru Days? Not that I'm complaining since I ADORE this kind of idol song that the melody sound somewhat identical to other idol songs (And I'm sure Totsuzen's chorus resembles a Hello! Project song) and it sounds super cheesy and great. It's HKT forte since their debut and I'm glad they stick to it after string of borefest when the Iz*One members departed.

Shame how poor the PV looks like... they should be dancing at the Beach instead!!!

 

This is my least favorite A-side since Bagutte. Been hating everything about it so far

 

Nako weaving Naruto handsigns to create the genjutsu sekai they are filming the MV in.

 

Wow I'm really surprised by all the negative feedback. When I saw the teaser, I thought that it's very idol-like, especially Nako's hand gestures. The music video is colourful and the little effects are really cute. I'm looking forward to the full MV a lot.

 

I guess there was no way the MV could have looked good with these grey and not pretty outfits. I was so certain it would be a feel good, dancing on the beach-type MV, so the disappointment is real. At least the girls look beautiful. And the song is still super great.

 

Finally a good A-side from HKT after a while

 

IMO currently, Nako in a "disgusting bikini" has as much chance to happen as Hiichan doing gravure.

 

We know we won't get a bikini MV from any 48G anymore, and it's not because of the IZ*ONE fans. AKB48 hasn't released a bikini MV in years, when it used to be an annual thing. SKE48's Ano Koro no Kimi wo Mitsuketa is the most recent summer/beach video that I remember, and it was in full isshou as well.

 

None of the currently successful idols / idol groups have bikini PVs anymore. We all know Sakamichi series is the most popular with the general public, and they've never done them.

 

A group like Nijicon is fairly popular and they still do bikini videos, but yeah they are obviously no where near the 46/48 groups - for some reason they mostly appeal to young men so they will never be really big. Super Girls as well but they haven't really been popular for years.

As for the song I love it, back to the classic uptempo HKT sound that is my favorite.
