:fp: Sorry i just woke up so i didn't read the numbers clearly :fp: :fp: :fp:

Dang it! This whole things has really become just like a Hollywood disaster movie scene would look like isn't it? :fp: [worried] [worried] [worried]

First a massive earthquake, and then a devastating tsunami and now a nuclear reactor leaking.... [speechless]

Is there any xxx48 family members and S48 members living near that nuclear reactor? I hope all people that's live within the range of the nuclear leak to get the hell out of there!

Thank you loveandcoffee for translating TGSK's post (and thank you TGSK for relieving us). Thank you to all who have been reporting about the situation and about the members. I've been watching the news and my respect for the japanese people has grown even more. Such a disaster in any other place of the world, not only it would have caused more deaths and destruction but people would have panicked completely (and panic would have made it even worse). Now I am deadly worried about what Melos125 said and I can only cross my fingers and pray to whoever is up above... [sweat]

It's very cheap trick from media to use average joe blind fear about anything remotely related to nuclear threat. I'm sure that everything will be under control pretty soon. Brightest minds are working on solutions atm. after all.

I've just watched the news and it seems that the japanese government declined to use american coolant. I hope that means that they are sure they will solve the problem... [sweat]

I heard about this when I woke up, but didn't come to know how bad it was till was till I came back from school. Very glad all the girls are fine (thank you, loveandcoffee&togasaki). But this is all so messed up...

I was at least trying to think that the worst part is over and that recovery was going to start soon, and then I read about the radiation leakage.... I'm worried sick about that. When reading the 1st notices about the heating I thought the'd have it under control, and now this.... I don't even want to think what the consequences would be if the leaking is major.

By the way - my mom was watching some streaming news a while ago, and she heard some news about the sea level not going down in the flooded areas, and that it could stay higher than normal for a couple of years? Is that true?

Apparently the official count by the government is ~400 dead and ~500 missing, but the japanese news station are giving numbers of ~1000 dead and 10.000s missing? Ugh...

I hope everyone in the affected areas will be fine...

I don't know many people who lives in Japan.
But see, hear all this is so difficult.
But the problems of nuclear power plants and do not know if it improves, it's more difficult.
I would really like to help them . But I could do in real life?
I can only think highly of them

On the french Red Cross, we cannot choose for the donation. You thinks that we can do it on the US page?

According to Kyodo news Agency there is something like that about the nuclear "officials say that the US did not deliver nuclear coolant material, and that Japanese authorities handled the situation themselves." [think] [think]

    stop the fearmongering...

1000 times higher than normal is still not much higher than an x-ray. too many people are uninformed of the wonders of nuclear tech, and the government is just being precautious.

i think the last thing we need in a disaster is panic and worry.

You're not comparing the amount of radiations of an x-ray to those that could come out of a nuclear reactor, are you? it's THAT amount you have to multiply by one thousand.
