    No...this can't be happening...I didn't just-....no. :fp:

    WHY???!!

tbh, I did kind of expect this coming, just didn't think it'd be so soon... :hmm:

I wouldn't completely blame Aki-P, but I guess this is the result of not being promoted enough

Re: Team B - Komori Mika (Komorin)

Actually, consider the fact that she specifically stated her intentions to study abroad; perhaps this was her plan all along? She is, after all, at that age where most Japanese high-school graduates would be making their decisions to either enter the workforce or pursue a degree in university. I won't rule out other possibilities; but at this point, this seems to me to be the most plausible explanation - that she has applied to study in a foreign university, got accepted, and is now going ahead to obtain a degree in whatever course she chooses.

In which case, I am actually very happy for her. Yes, it will be difficult for her fans to accept at first, but I personally feel that we should be proud of her - as far as I know, not many AKB48 girls make it into institutes of higher education, much less get accepted by possibly more prestigious foreign universities!

Aki-p has been suddenly treating her like shit for some long time now. Komorin matured and grew out of her shell on her own, she found a new life in modeling but no one gave crap about her when it came to pushes, and now studying abroad along with modeling, it feels like she has truly found a clear and amazing path in her life, which is much better for her, I honestly think she shouldn't have stayed more in AKB because she just doesn't fit the underdog or backgirl material, she's an ace, AKB's baby airhead, she will always be the first ever KKS to enter a single. that record is hers.

Komorin is so precious I'm so sad yet so happy for her, I really want to keep up with her, this is actually the first time I feel this way about a graduate.

I think it's really sad that Komorin is leaving AKB but I must say I am not surprised, ever since the last elections I would say that there have been small signs hinting towards her leaving so to see her graduation announcement was nothing to out of the blue.....

I'm seeing a trend that members who aren't participating in the Sousenkyo are announcing their graduations

    AKB48
    Not Participating in Sousenkyo
    Nakatsuka Tomomi

    Graduated
    Nito Moeno
    Kasai Tomomi
    Akimoto Sayaka
    Matsubara Natsumi
    Komori Mika

Wouldn't be surprised if we heard a Nakatsuka Tomomi graduation announcement soon

    SKE48
    Not Participating in Sousenkyo
    Kito Momona
    Mukaida Manatsu
    Sato Seira
    Owaki Arisa
    Ogino Risa

    Graduated
    Fujimoto Mitsuki

    NMB48
    Not Participating in Sousenkyo
    Kishino Rika
    Koyanagi Arisa

    Graduated
    Shinohara Kanna
    Fukumoto Aina
    Yamamoto Hitomi

Yeah I think they really did it on purpose and they had planned to graduate within this year, therefore not joining the elections.

Really sad Komorin will graduate soon but she ain't getting anywhere right now so I think her decision might not be bad after all.

One thing that you can absolutely guarantee is that when a member announces their graduation a bunch of people will come out and blame Aki-P or "The Management" for not pushing them or pushing someone else yada yada yada.

AKB48 gave Komorin a chance and she took it and did pretty well but she couldn't sustain her early popularity. Still though it should be acknowledged she got the opportunity to do a lot of things that thousands of girls her age would love to do. And she's still young enough that she can go to uni and move on with her life and still have the memories of what she did with AKB48 and get into modelling or acting in the future. Its sad for her fans for sure but this is just the start for her not the end.

It looks like the candidacy system was the trigger for a lot of these girls to provoke them into considering their future and as such it was a pretty smart move by management. With 4 days to fill at Tokyo Dome hopefully the graduating girls will hang on that long for a sendoff.
