I agree, her aura is something else compared to the other members. She stands out so much that even her haters commented about her first before commenting about the girls in the front lol. (check the 33rd single thread) You don't even have to look somewhere else to know that she catches a lot of attention. Her stage 48 wiki page is the most accessed page among the girls in the 48 group. You can see it at the bottom of the page. It got accessed 130,008 times and counting. That's even more than Acchan's who came in second whose page got accessed 110,249 times. Takamina is third (probably because she's the GM?) and Yuko is 4th. That means she catches a lot of people's attention, most of them search the internet to try to know more about her. Well, she didn't become one of the top 5 girls in 5 straight elections for nothing. It even took Jurina 5 elections just to crack the kami 7 and Nyan who has always been a kami 7 except this year, never made it into the top 5. Tomochin and Takamina only made it once. What she has achieved in the group is no small feat [clap] and she is still young enough to be with the group for a few more years. That's why I understand why she has a lot of haters, she's a big obstacle to everyone else's oshis to reach the top and she won't graduate anytime soon.

Cool! another commercial. [cool] Love it. I wish Mayu would smash through my wall like that and hand me a drink, I wouldn't mind if she leaves a big hole. She looks great in red. Again, just like her KFC outfit, hers is a bit different from the rest - she's the only one with a tie and there's a gold line in her collar. That blooper with Takamina is funny, I wonder what Mayu told her before that when she pulled Takamina's hand away like she's saying "hey don't touch that".

Ooohh Mayu appeared in another member's vid. That's something we don't often see. She looks really cute in it. Marina is so lucky to share a room with her.

black-snow: I really don't know where you came up with that idea. In general, in the whole international fandom, as a male, I feel completely surrounded my female Mayu fans. On a daily basis I talk to the ones YKT mentioned above in addition to others who aren't on this forum (actually, I have no idea who Rurei is, sorry Rurei!). I know there are a couple other male Mayu fans (I'm thinking Anfield_Akiba, jigs, shin_baka) but most of the international Mayu fans, and the more active ones, seem to be female. Quite a lot of the more active Japanese Mayu fans on the internet seem to be female too (eg/conche, tenmama, I don't know the sex of the other ones on twitter/g+, and of course, 2ch is all anonymous).

I think Mayu does very well indeed in general in attraction both female and young fans. At her recent solo live concert, there were a lot of girls and youngsters. Including some young kids in full Rappa Renshuuchuu cosplay!

I didn't come up with that idea. I've had arguments with some stage 48 members before about Mayu's popularity, can't remember which thread that was. Someone said that Mayu isn't really that popular and that her huge number of votes is just a result of wotas buying multiple votes for her. This was backed up by other members who joined our argument saying that she doesn't really have mass appeal and that her fans mostly consists of wotas. That and many other reasons just to downplay her popularity.
