I think the problem is more the audio engineering than the vocals. I’d love to hear this live - it currently sounds insanely over-processed to me, which I think is what’s putting me off of the vocals. The MV and musical style feel very old-school AKB imo lol, my first thought was “wow, Sasshi’s going back to her roots for this one”

Momoka has tested positive for Covid and will withdraw from activities until further notice:

Correction: a family member has tested positive (not her) and thus she is isolating (as noted below by @Rushy)

that was an amazing perfomance, their vocals and energy are very good! I really like the choreo, who is the girl that sings the nandodemo part? Her vocals are so pretty, she might be my oshi

unfortunately no, ≒JOY doesn't have variety show yet, only Showrooms. though, to be fair, they also haven't debuted yet.

I just watched this and was so impressed! Their performances of Glass wo Ware! (which I know) and "Ai wo Shiru" (which I don't know) were really good. I was also really impressed with their performance of "≒JOY" (the song)!! I remember watching one of =LOVE's first lives and being a bit put off by the off pitch singing. This wasn't perfect, they're still idols and not singers, but they held their tune pretty well!

I hope they can release many songs that highlight their voices, maybe also a bit more ballad like and slow so that they don't run out of breath while dancing. Really excited about what this group will have in store!

I think now I see where Sasshi was going with this song. The release is less than 2 months old, but when I heard it yesterday, I felt like it was a song I've known for a long time, and kept trying to place it, until the chorus solved the riddle. It has this ‘instant nostalgia’ factor.
