My oshimen in the group I appreciate her reasons for leaving and I wish her well but I've loved seeing her so much and I was looking forward to her future progress. Anyhow I've a Limista signing from her scheduled for Saturday so I'll be able to keep a souvenir of her.

Actually(!), I've read NearJoys statement and it looks like she'll just put her activities on a hold.
Or do I missunderstand their statement and she is indeed leaving? I am confused..

It says "福山萌叶 休養のお知らせ" which includes the word '休養' ('kyūyō') which can translate as 'time off from work' so hopefully this is just a temporary hiatus which will be as short as possible.

 

Yes, the text posted by @FlowingColors in the previous page also contains 休止 kyuushi which is a temporary cessation, a pause. Even the kanji itself means ‘rest stop’. Sad but she'll be back!

 

I’m bad with numbers, but if she was born in 2004, I wanna say she’d be in her last year of high school, so it checks out that she’d need a break - right now is when things really ramp up in Japanese schools with getting ready for university entrance exams and such. Probably will be back around March-April if that’s the case.

She said 'Thank You' in English 3 times but other than that I don't know what she said, she spoke too quickly and somewhat quietly for me to be able to understand her.

My signed photo from Moeka arrived today and I was doubly happy to get her photocard in the accompanying CD. Some of her writing is rather difficult to see as it's on the dark background of her clothes so I've put it under the brightest light I have:

I'd like to get those signed solo cover CDs from them one day. But I always thought you needed a Japanese address (proxy?) so I'm not sure where to begin.

 

You do need a Japanese address. I use someone I know in the country as a forwarder but most people here use Tenso (https://www.tenso.com/en), it's easy to sign up for an account and I've never heard any bad reviews.

As for the signed covers, ≒JOY and ≠ME use Limista (https://limista.jp/) while =LOVE uses Fortune Music (https://fortunemusic.jp/). With Limista there's normally a lottery round followed by a FCFS one for any members who haven't sold out while Fortune Music only has lottery rounds. Both services are simple to sign up for using the address that you're given by Tenso.

To find out when these sales are happening the best way is to keep an eye on the News section of the official websites for each group but in future I'll post here for those for ≒JOY when they happen.

My first introduction to J-POP was Baby Metal and by extention Sakura Gakuin (Baby Metal was originally just a sub group)

This reminds me so much of something they would do, although these girls are a little older.
