Looks like I'm about done with my list.
23rd Place, Yabuki Nako - I can't say I blame her fans for letting her rank drop. I'm more voting for her really on her potential return than anything she's done in the year, which I know isn't in the spirit of the event and what not but oh well. I know it wasn't her fault but not having Nako participating in Sashihara's graduation concert just seems so weird. I still like everything she does though and what she does she does really well. Even if she stays in Korea I'd probably continue voting for her lol
18th Place, Yoda Yuki - The one new(er) Nogi that captures my attention and I'd watch content for. Even though I'm not super familiar with their latest stuff and what she's been doing, she's definitely the one in that group that I root for.
18th Place, Mukaichi Mion - I'm pretty surprised that Mion is where she is, I thought her and Yuihan would be in the top 10 for sure... I don't know if she'll be a great Soukantoku but I think she certainly has it in her to be. I find her incredibly charming regardless and appreciate her wiliness to take a backseat role. It doesn't hurt that she's easily one of the cutest girls in 48G
16th Place, Yokoyama Yui - Even though she's no longer Soukantoku, I still think of her as such whenever I see her. She fit the role so naturally. I really like how Yuihan looks after the younger members and pushes them forward but I also like that she came out recently saying she wanted to be center. It's nice to see her putting herself forward after all these years of being so dutiful. There's something about being loyal to the group that really makes me like them.
16th Place, Minegishi Minami - What is there left to say about Miichan? The last remaining 1st Gen, only member to have been a trainee and been in all 4 teams, absurdly high theater performances, mentor of most of the important members right now. She seems much happier these days than she did in the last few years. I hope her graduation goes well, whenever that will be, and she continues to gain in happiness afterward.
14th Place, Tanaka Miku - I didn't used to be much of a Miku fan outside of her association with Nako but I've grown to like her a lot in her own right and am impressed with her efforts to keep HKT going as the, arguably, last big member right now. I know her solo song was 2018 but what a nice song that is. I hope she continues to lead HKT for a good while.

I'm glad Komiyama Haruka and Okabe Rin are so high up as the Team A and K captains. I'm not particularly a big fan of either but they both seem sincere in their devotion and serious about what they're doing. Yamauchi Mizuki isn't one of my favorites but I'm pretty happy with her as new center and she seems like a great performer. Has a lot of freshness and seems like a great face for the group. Kojima Mako was a great member who never quite got to where she seemed destined to be. Another graduate who I could easily see myself voting for if I voted for graduates. I'm glad her youtube channel seems to be going well. Shiroma Miru seems nice. I don't particularly like her or dislike her but she seems like a good member and does a good job for her group. I watched an episode of Bingo the other day that Muto Tomu was on, well after she had started making Senbatsu, where she competed with other members for the right to be on the show. Not only did she eat that super nasty spicy mustard and force her way through it but then did a face-powder candy search that seemed exceptionally unpleasant. I really admire her willingness to participate in AKB programs that she's arguably beyond and her enjoyment of that aspect of the idol life.

I negative-voted these two because I didn't find their sudden graduations very respectful or with good explanation. In both cases, hopes and expectations were let down without enough advanced notice given. I forgot that the NGT drama happened last year too (feels like it was 2018) so I wish I had included some NGT members in my negative votes.

Six today with four of them in positions 11-14 so just outside the top ten in this year's ranking:

    16) 14. (13) [27|0] [HKT] Tanaka Miku{+133,0}, 133
Mikurin has always been one of the cutest members of 48G but now she's also becoming one of the most beautiful.

    15) 11. (27) [25|0] [AKB] Okabe Rin{+143,0}, 143
My favourite and most beautiful Eito member who continues to be successful as Team A captain.

    10) 22. (47) [24|0] [N46] Kubo Shiori{+118,0}, 118
My oshimen in N46 and I'm so happy to see her being pushed with a B-side center and magazine covers. People in her thread have said that she looks like a sweetie, well I can say that she most definitely IS a sweetie - I met her last year at HS and she was very lovely and friendly, and she made me feel genuinely welcome.

    04) 18. (15) [27|0] [NMB] Shiroma Miru{+123,0}, 123
My long-standing NMB48 kami-oshi and the 48G member who I've met the most often. It was good to see her center two NMB48 singles last year but this year I think might be somewhat quieter for her.

    02) 13. (37) [27|0] [AKB] Yamauchi Mizuki{+136,0}, 136
My ni-oshi in both AKB48 and 48G. She's a very beautiful and cute member and I was so happy and honoured to win a one-shot video with her when I met her at HS last year. I'm very pleased at her success in becoming the center of 'Shitsuren, Arigato' and I hope she can rise to eventually become of AKB48's all-time top members.

    01) 12. (10) [22|0] [AKB] Komiyama Haruka{+142,0}, 142
I'm sorry to see my kami-oshi drop out of the top 10 in this year's rankings but she had a somewhat quieter year last year although still successful as the captain of Team K. She's the most beautiful and loveliest member of 48G and it was great to meet her again last year at HS (when I called her a princess and she blew me a kiss :D).

I've three members lremaining for the top 10 to be revealed tomorrow...

Less minus votes for Miichan! I guess the haters jumped over to the NGT hatefest.

Miru keeps her no minus votes streak going. Not bad for one of the top members of a group. Plus her photobook was :nosebleed:

Mion made it back on my list after two years away.

Positions 25. - 11. are really nice. We have 7 of my IN PLUS choices here :^O^: 5 plus and 1 minus left for TOP10.

    19. Kojima Mako (+1)
It's debut on my list (and of course last opportunity to give her points). I really like to watch her instagram and I'm so fascinated about her distinguished style. Also I really appreciate her activities about making Haluhiroine brand.

    05. Muto Tomu (+7)
Last year even not in my ranking, now TOP3 48 Group member for me. It's all thanks to job of one guy from Twitter thanks to whom I started really follow Tomu's life. She is cute, but also her MC parts with Orin are so cute.

    12. Yabuki Nako (+3)
She has dropped in my personal ranking from 2nd position. It's not her fault. I just don't like style how she is produced in Korea. They're dying her hair to another color each week and also they're not using her high notes (first time they used it in last comeback! Since IZONE's debut!). I prefered Nako in HKT style. But still, by personality she is an angel

    06. Yoda Yuki (+6)
Yoda-chan is some punk who has just kicked door to my heart like Chuck Norris is kicking bad guys. She is on direct way to be my new Nogizaka oshimen if Ikuchan will graduate. I really like her casts in dramas and also her new photobook is awesome. :awesome:

Monmon is working really hard to keep HKT on top. I like her activities in last year. It's like my constant affections to her.

    *DRUMROLL*
    02. Komiyama Haruka (+10)
Now she is in 2nd position in my ranking. She really deserves 10 points from me. Last year I gave to her +4 points, but now I'm seeing, that she is really taking care about her teammates. It was really effective year for her, but she needs one thing. She really deserves it... Place in A-side's Senbatsu in AKB48 single. Her last senbatsu was in... "Teacher, Teacher". :(
But why Komi? She is so beautiful and cute and charming... I really love her Instagram... I can talk and talk about her advantages by whole day. :inlove:

    08. Okabe Rin (+5)
O-kabe? Rin, rin, rin... Moshi, moshi Rinchan, I gave to You +5 points. Hope that You're happy! :mail:
She has some Acchan vibe for me and Acchan was a person who has charmed me into AKB48. Also Rinrin is working really hard as Team A Captain and also Team 8 member. In last year she has gained more spotlight in Team 8. She really deserves this 11th position in this ranking :cute:

Muto Tomu (+4) - No negative votes for her this year although her ranks still dropped. Good year for Tomu last year, she passed the weather forcast test and also part of Sustainable senbatsu. I was watching the livestream of the senbatsu reveal for Sustainable and was so happy when her name was revealed.

Tanaka Miku (+5) - One of the cutest faces in the 48 group. I only somehow follow HKT because of her. :XD: I like how she is raising the HKT flag now on her shoulders with Sashii gone and Sakura busy with IZONE duties.

Komiyama Haruka (+10) - I love her commitment and leadership to Team K and it's members. She's cute, beautiful and a hard worker, she deserves a spot on a A-side senbatsu.

Mukaichi Mion (+8) - Our Soukantoku. I think Miion's doing fine as the new Soukantoku and she was able to handle the group last year even with aces graduating left and right. Her passion for AKB is something I really admired.

Okabe Rin (+6) - My favourite eitou member and a hard working Team A captain.

    Minegishi Minami
(+2) - The last remaining first gen member. I can't really say more about her, she's a legend on her own way.:worthy:

Yokoyama Yui (+4) - Our former Soukantoku who did a great job handling the group after TakaMina left. And Yuihn is really beautiful, she has this classic Japanese beauty aura. :flower:

Yamauchi Mizuki (+3) - Zukkii is one of the members that I included on my vote even though she's not one of my oshi. I see a promising future for her in the group.

I guess my hunch was wrong afterall that 46 group will dominate this years Top 10:lol: . 6 of the Top 10 belongs to 48 group but we will find out tomorrow if AKB will still hold the top spot.

    3. 16. (34) [19|2] [AKB] Minegishi Minami{+133,-6}, 127 – I'm really happy to see that her negative votes have dropped and that she's managed to make our senbatsu. She was one of the first people I ever really liked in AKB48 (alongside Akimoto Sayaka and Takahashi Minami) and she's the only one from my very first Top 20 list that hasn't dropped out or graduated. It's the end of my original era with AKB48.
    4. 26. (35) [19|1] [IZN] Honda Hitomi{+107,-3}, 10
    5. 40. (43) [11|0] [BNK] Cherprang Areekul{+71,0}, 71
    6. 23. (11) [23|1] [IZN] Yabuki Nako{+119,-4}, 115 – Kind of a shame that she dropped so many ranks, but I feel like everyone in IZ*ONE did. Nako is one of the most overlooked members in IZ*ONE. I hope people don't forget about her.
    7. 12. (10) [22|0] [AKB] Komiyama Haruka{+142,0}, 142 – our smile monster!!! Almost wish I'd given her more points now because she is technically my favourite in AKB, but I think others had more impact over the past year. I hope she gets more chance to shine in 2020.
    8. 308. (470) [1|0] [BNK] Suchaya Saenkhot{+5,0}, 5
    9. 330. (---) [1|0] [BNK] Jiradapa Intajak{+4,0}, 4
    10. 55. (69) [13|1] [STU] Takino Yumiko{+53,-2}, 51 – not sure how, but I missed her in yesterday's announcement. She's really pretty and lovely
    11. 18. (15) [27|0] [NMB] Shiroma Miru{+123,0}, 123 – Gorgeous, can sing, can dance, lovely smile. There's nothing she can't do.
    12. 122. (104) [6|0] [HKT] Motomura Aoi{+29,0}, 29
    13. -
    14. -
    15. 222. (126) [5|0] [AKB] Sato Minami{+12,0}, 12
    16. 50. (47) [19|8] [SKE] Matsui Jurina{+80,-27}, 53
    17. 78. (64) [9|0] [IZN] Kim Chaewon{+41,0}, 41
    18. 103. (110) [9|1] [IZN] Lee Chaeyeon{+34,-1}, 33
    19. 90. (92) [12|0] [AKB] Nakanishi Chiyori{+36,0}, 36
    20. 44. (56) [14|0] [HKT] Murashige Anna{+63,0}, 63

    1. 462. (507) [0|17] [NGT] Nishigata Marina{+0,-68}, -68
    2. 461. (506) [3|18] [NGT] Kato Minami{+11,-62}, -51
    3. 460. (503) [6|13] [NGT] Ogino Yuka{+18,-35}, -17
    4. 459. (505) [2|11] [NGT] Yamada Noe{+9,-24}, -15
    5. 463. (508) [0|19] [NGT] Tano Ayaka{+0,-78}, -78
There's only three people from my ranking left in the top 10 now. I feel like one of them will be #1 overall, although I'm not sure whether it'll be my no. 1 or one of the other two remaining ranks.

As mentioned in her thread, I have tremendous respect for Tomu balancing work, studies and life. Came out achieving all that and more. Also I like the Muto sister interactions

Although her prefecture often ranks last, not this Team A captain. Acknowledge. With the incumbent Ibaraki rep away, do a good job Berin-chan. Otherwise, negative votes

    ======

    Predictions for tomorrow:

    • Nogizaka to sweep top 3
    • Naachan and Yuiiri to be ranked next to each other. As they are always meant to be

    • Creative Creative x 1

For me today: Yuihan, I ranked her at 9 in my ranking. I always liked her, she's beautiful, classy, and I like her calm personnality, she's also cute and interesting! Then Rinrin, I ranked her at 7 in my ranking. I love her, she gives me a similar feeling as Yuihan actually, like beautiful and classy and mature. She's also cute and hardworking! I enjoyed her solo concert too and I love that she became captain of Team A and regular senbatsu <3 and she almost ranked in top 10 here wow she really ranked up, that's awesome!

I'm sad that Tomu's rank dropped. Maybe next year I should give her more vote. But anyway 2019 is a noticeable year for Tomu, hope that her senbatsu position will become permanent this year.
I found that we are the only two vote for XiaoHu this year.

    *drum roll*

It's time for the final rank reveal!

Like last year, I'm revealing the top 10 through video because it's exciting. But I have no video editing skills so it's as basic as possible. (And there are minor spoilers in the thumbnail so don't look at it)

Please see the 2nd post for more detailed info on the top 10.
Thank you everyone for participating in the ranking and I look forward to discussing the results and ranking itself in the days, and maybe weeks, to come.

It's official, Nogizaka has defeated AKB, what a sorry era to live in.

The thing is 48G has way too many members compared to Sakamichi, so the votes will normally be more divided. For example, we see many posts that are mostly (and for some, all of them) either 48G or Sakamichi only.

But still, by many metrics they have defeated AKB/48G since a long time ago: singles' sales numbers, TV appearances, main TV show still going (RIP AKBingo), youtube views on MV releases... The list goes on, I have no idea about that one all-important, Idol-defining statistic called handshake event sales though.

This 4fun election on a foreigner forum just feels like the nail in the coffin as far as foreign fandom goes though.

There's something about Asuka that just draws me in: she seems aloof, but also really whimsical at times.
