Sorry for my hiatus. Didn't do this at the end of 2018 because the internet cafe I operated has shut down.

Anyway, it's that time of year again, and June is only 3 months away. The time has come to post your Senbatsu Election Predictions, Hopes, Dreams or whatever!

    Event Wishlist:
    • It takes place in Osaka, especially at either Kyocera Osaka dome or Expo Commemoration Park
    • Increase slot of each unit from 16 to 24 (120 ranked members)
    • Those who almost made it will be 121 to 150
    • PLEASE. UHD 4K CAMERAS AND DOLBY ATMOS. If Hello Project was able to have their Hina Fes in Dolby Atmos, Aki-P should do the same as well.
Senbatsu Prediction (uses the current 16 slot):
    1. Matsui Jurina
    2. Suda Akari
    3. Okada Nana
    4. Muto Tomu
    5. Yokoyama Yui
    6. Tanaka Miku
    7. Oba Mina
    8. Ogino Yuka
    9. Soda Sarina
    10. Mukaichi Mion
    11. Yoshida Akari
    12. Oguri Yui
    13. Furuhata Nao
    14. Shiroma Miru
    15. Sugawara Maya
    16. Honma Hinata
    My Analysis
    • The debacle with NGT might cause massive shakeups, especially with Ogino Yuka potentially dropping out of Kami 7. Or most of NGT might decline participation until everything is resolved.
    • With Sakura, Nako and Juri out of the way, and Hinata possibly dropping out of Top 16, the lower senbatsu ranks will be a bloodbath. Plus with Miru finally getting a center with Sayanee gone, she SHOULD come back to Senbatsu.
Most likely to drop in ranks
    • Ogino Yuka
    • Nakai Rika
    • Honma Hinata
Most likely to rank for the first time
    • Matsumoto Hinata
    • Yamamoto Ayaka
    • Umeyama Cocona
    • Yahagi Moeka
    • Utada Hatsuka
    • Kojima Karin
    What's yours?

    Not much different, but
    1. Matsui Jurina
    2. Okada Nana
    3. Suda Akari
    4. Yokoyama Yui
    5. Muto Tomu
    6. Tanaka Miku
    7. Oba Mina
    8. Ogino Yuka
    9. Mukaichi Mion
    10. Souda Sarina
    11. Oguri Yui
    12. Shiroma Miru
    13. Yoshida Akari
    14. Furuhata Nao
    15. Sugawara Maya
    16. Honma Hinata

    Expectation and wish:
    - Yahagi Moeka will be ranked in Next Girls --> Undergirls
    - Shitao Miu , Miyazaki Miho and Murase Sae will hopefully get produce48 push. With Myao return in mid to lower rank, Sae shoot high, Miu got debut in ssk.
    - Although I think Dasu might drop, she'll sit comfortably in top 5
    - All NGT girls might drop in rank or drop out.
    - I hope Miichan can still be in undergirls too and Shiichan will be atleast in 80s.
    - Can someone get Yuiri in ssk already, she deserved her senbatsu spot.

Actually this is the right time to do this (Since the SSK should be announced toward the end of this month).

    Anyways, my prediction
    Senbatsu
    1) Matsui Jurina
    2) Okada Nana
    3) Yokoyama Yui
    4) Suda Akari (Though I have been wondering if she's even going to enter tbh, has she send anything about the SSK)?
    5) Tanaka Miku
    6) Muto Tomu
    7) Ogino Yuka
    8) Mukaichi Mion
    9) Oguri Yui
    10) Homma Hinata
    11) Shiroma Miru
    12) Furuhata Nao
    13) Souda Sarina
    14) Yoshida Akari
    15) Iwatate Saho
    16) Tashima Meru/Cherprang Areekul (If the Sekai SSK returns)

    Other Predictions
Minarun, Miichan, Mahohon, Mofuchan, Rittan, Renappon, Ayakani, Gatanee don't enter
If Sekai SSK returns, then I think Cherprang, Music, and Jennis all rank (along with 1 or 2 MNL48 Members).
Yahagi Moeka Ranks Low Next Girls, High Future Girls

    Hopes
Katomina makes senbatsu (Hope and a dream actually).
Nobody announces a scandal, marriage, or pregnancy

I like to wait until we’ve seen the next single lineup and everyone has sent in their applications to participate.

I kinda wish Tomu doesn’t participate.
I love her and whatnot, but what’s the point in her fans doing their best to send her to Kami 7 if management is gonna pay her dust the rest if the year?
Maybe she will because she enjoys it or whatever, but we’ll see.

Dasu could drop the G bomb any moment now.
Her getting second just behind Jurina in Nagoya Dome seems like a fitting end to her SSK career, but we’ll see.

Jurina... could either decline participating as a way to apologise for missing most of last year or come back promising she’ll be fine, but we’ll see.

The NGT girls are all a wildcard.
Last year we saw that their fandom was pretty much stretched thing because for every girl who jumped ranks, another one dropped, so we’ll see.

So... yeah, I think it’s a bit too soon when there are still singles to be released (HKT and most probably SKE) that could push certain girls, and we don’t know the state NGT will be in come June.

STU will hopefully get a bunch more girls in the ranks.

And no more World Senbatsu, thanks.

admittedly not completely up to date, but what I remember is Dasu saying sth along the lines of "now there's only 1st place to aim for" and then saying in some show that fans have not been very welcoming of that, since they really went deeeep into their pockets for 2018. The fact is she's doing fantastic and became really popular and well-known among the general people during the last year - the 2nd place obviously helped a lot...
Jurina is another question after last year's experience. Her joining would mean she's fine and that I'd be glad to see.

At any rate, it's surely unimaginable to see both Jurina and Dasu sitting out.

Jurina would not back down. Dasu, we'll see.

I don't know who I would do for ranking predictions, but I can see Okada Nana getting 4th.
We'll see if NGT decides to do anything or not. I can still see all members besides Mahohon participating. Ogino and Gatanee getting it big as usual.
STU will get more ranked members.
I too do not want a World Senbatsu thing. Maybe for 15th anniversary in a few years.

Yahagi Moeka could reach Undergirls ranking. She will be biggest jump from non-ranking to somewhere in Undergirls.

NMB will be terribly underrepresented....again. I hope new Draft and new generation girls can slowly be recognized and rank.

Another hope: Nogi/Keyaki/Hina/Iz*One members not eligible. Sorry.

Same, I was about to post about the cancellation of AKB48 SHOW, Nogi taking over ANN and the cancellation of SSK too. A few years ago I knew Sakura would end up in Korea.

No SSK, what am I supposed to look forward in June then? Kinda sad that there won't be an SSK this year as I was actually looking forward for the election with Sasshii graduating and Sakura not participating,an AKB48 member actually has a chance to take the no. 1 spot.

With shows and TV/radio programs cancelations and now No SSK. The situation must be really bad now.

Maybe they finally got wind that Tomu will get number 1 and they didn't want that lol

On a more serious note, damn how will non-management favorites even end up in senbatsu now that one of their only chances is removed.

Don't worry, guys. SSK will be back this year in a new form, but...
...but it will be produced by Murakawa Bibian, in the name of BBN48 Senbatsu Sousenkyo (please cmiiw). The first announcement will be done in May 21st and the final result will be announced in June 17th. This event was announced in Bibian's Showroom live last night.
