Looks like barely anybody cares nowadays lol. With mostly the same faces seen on the final stage, these kind of events shouldn't be held yearly, it gets stale as proven.
If they insist, there should be a system that makes it less stale. maybe restriction for a contestant that already appear on the previous final stage to participate consecutively.
If they're worried for the ratings, just invite Naachan or Ikeda as guest singers on the final, problem solved.

 

I'm excited for this, even though I didn't watch the 3rd competition (I will probably watch it sooner or later). I enjoy singing performances so this is always nice, it's true that there aren't many differences after only 1 year since I remember when I saw the first competition and the second competition, it was a little similar, but now if we compare to the past, 2 out of the 3 winners have graduated. Some girls joined 48G too (even though not many), so maybe there can be changes, surprises, and improvements. and some girls don't do well because of their song choices, so if they make better song choices, the final results can be different too. Anyway I'm looking forward to it!

For new girls who could shine in this competition, one of the the NMB KKS who joined last year is a great singer and I think that if she participates in this competition, she could do VERY well. She's called Manabe Anju. The first time I heard her singing is when I saw the video of NMB 7th gens, they show a few seconds of her singing and she sounds amazing, her voice is really like a Disney princess! I was surprised. Her dream is to be in a musical and I can totally imagine her in one. A few people think that her singing is alike to Ikuta Erika.

Also I hope that Naachan participates again, I always enjoyed her stages even though she didn't win yet. Hopefully there will be many members who will join again. The more, the better!

So I guess the list is the final list now? I took a look and among the list, these are the members who I like/support: NMB Manabe Anju & Satsuki Aika, both of them have nice voices and hopefully they will make good song choices! They're both in my top 3 of NMB 7th gen. HKT Kamijima Kaede, she is one of my favs in HKT (top 2), and I didn't know that she participates! Not sure if she was here last year (didn't see the 3rd competition) so this will be the first time for me to see her in this. I only remember hearing her singing in 2019 in her birthday stage where she performed a solo performance for "Nakinagara Hohoende", from what I remember she was fine but she sounded nervous (well, she was a KKS and it was a solo performance). Hopefully she can do well! and lastly, STU Nakamura Mai, I recently like her, she's so pretty (she might become my STU fav since I don't really have one). I don't know about her singing skills at all so I'll discover with this competition LOL. I'm also interested for all the other girls and maybe I'll like some of their voices ^^
