I´ve heard it... there was a report at the news here (in germany o.o)... that sucks... I can´t understand how sick some people are...
in the news they said that he done it cause he was frustrated... But I think there is no reason to do stuff like that

This really worries me since I know a few girls in Tokyo (from the university I studied abroad at last year) who are around the age of the one that they said died, and they might have been in Akihabara for all I know. The odds are kind of astronomical, but it's still scary to think about.

I heard about this in the news.
There's some sick people in this world - and unfortunately too many.

That's terrible. I think that those types of killings are the worst; the ones where the victims did nothing wrong.

I wonder how the guy's midn works. He hates life, so he kills others. Makes sense, really. Why not kill himself? (I know the answer, prolly some of you do as well).

I'D RATHER HAVE HIM COMMITING SUICIDE!
WHY THE H* DOES HE HAVE TO KILL PEOPLE WHEN HE IS THE ONE TIRED OF THE WORLD, JUST GO DIE MAN!
SUCH A SICK PERSON DOESN'T EVEN DESERVE TO EXIST!
WHAT DOES OTHER INNOCENT CIVILIANS HAVE TO DO WITH HIS PROBLEMS WITH THE WORLD????
I SWEAR, IF I MEET SOMEONE LIKE THAT, I'LL KILL HIM ON THE SPOT!

That's very sad to read about.

I'm not a psychological expert. However, based on my personal introspections, I've unfortunately had instances where I would find a person, place, thing, or idea that would have qualities that resemble my own personal fears and frustrations. I would then in turn my energies outward to extinguish those external entities rather than focusing inward to face and overcome my own inner demons.

With that said, I believe that the man attacked all those people as a means of defeating his own inner demons - of course, in a very extreme manner. I don't know what his own demons are, but what he did was very unfair to the victims, and I sincerely hope that things can work out for the better in the long run, despite this tragedy.

And for the record, I do not intend to take out my frustrations on anyone - and that includes the people at STAGE48. I just wanted my own personal views on the matter. With the level of awareness I've acquired through trial and error, I do my best to look inside myself for the source of my problems rather than taking out my issues on the world around me.

this is really an unfortunate scenario, and quite disturbing. It just goes to show we live in a crazy world, and even as safe(safer overall in compared to other parts of the world) Japan-Tokyo has its violence-crime, and it is stuff like this that saddens me, and there are a lot of people in dire need of some serious attention-help.

No, it's bacuse he's a coward and couldn't kill himslef, so he thought that if he killed others, he'd get punished. Imo.
