This looks less like a AKB48 Group event and more like a Tokyo Idol Project event. Now, who's going to perform with AKB?

 

Agreed (Why I'm not liking this one bit). If they wanted to do something like that, they should have just have a concert like this in the future instead of doing something like this.

Can this be considered another sign that AKB is less popular nowadays - the group being more welcoming of non 48G idol acts more than ever compared to their "golden age"?

Not that we need any more confirmation.

Admittedly though, the setlist sounds interesting.

 

The other way around? Cuz they are more popular than these people and the fact they can invite them into their own Kouhaku thats like an actual mini Kouhaku lol

 

They didn't advertise that they were inviting these groups so it had nothing to do with seat sales. Momoclo are huge and invite guests all the time.

 

Depends on how we look at it, like if they can afford to be more exclusive or need to invite other idol acts to get more PR for the event?
