After some discussion among the moderators we feel that some clarification about Conversations is needed.

1 - We will take steps to prevent doxing and release of personal identifiable information, this is an instant bannable offense. Personal information includes real names, addresses, identifying numbers like SSN, phone numbers, credit card numbers, email addresses, etc. This will be enforced if it is ever posted on the forum or even on other sites, and the terms of this are covered under the forum software rules accessible by clicking on Terms and Rules on the bottom right.

A list of personal information is included here:
    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Personally_identifiable_information

(Login / screen names are only considered personal information if included with other identifiers.)

2 - All other information is NOT protected. Unfortunately, your personal comments about Produce48 to another person are not privileged information.
You'll also note that in the forum software, there is no mention of it being called a private message, but rather, it is called a conversation.

3 - With that said, it is usually bad manners to post a private conversation, and in almost all instances where I've seen it posted it will fall under the rule violation of personal attack. But unlike doxing, we can't go after people who post personal attacks on other sites.

This is also a friendly reminder to be careful what you to say to people online, don't assume that everything you say will be a secret, you are taking full responsibility for anything you say in one-on-one messages, only send personal identifiable information to people you sincerely trust, etc.

This thread is being created to gather opinions and discussion on this rule. Please be civil when discussing it.
