    I think it's an awesome stage, and the theater renewal is great. I wonder, like some of the members, where did they stored all the trophies all this years ?[hehe]

    Only 2 things I didn't like that much:
    - First, the new overture, I preferred the old one, but this one isn't bad at all
    - Second, the lights in MCs, It's like... too yellow, idk, maybe something they had to balance in the new cameras

    But overall, really really good, it has been worth the wait

    AKB have always been the National Idol (still are to me), but now the Theatre finally feels like it lives up to that title: Architecture, Fashion, Trophies, Technologies, etc.
    The help of a former Momusu for the new stage is also such a nice addition.
    I recall Yukirin was even able to chat with Tsunku not long ago.

    I watched the new stage on the day of the shonichi performance but I didn't take the time to write my opinions yet so here it is!!!

    • I thought the intro with the video of Naru finding the book and then the screen showing videos of the old theater, when it was made, the first generations etc. This was nice! but I wonder if they're going to air it at every performance, so far I did not watch any other stage than the shonichi but I did download some and when I checked, they aired it too in the second performance. I guess it's fine if they air it for a while but probably after some time, they don't have to air this video anymore XD
    • The stage started, a new Overture :O well it's not too too different but it's fine. Also the new theater does look very different in general (like we see in the Hiyuka report video that everyone should watch btw! funniest video!) but when seeing the girls on stage, I felt like the theater doesn't look very very different, like sure it's not the same but it also isn't too changed. and it's a good thing! I mean, I didn't want it to change too much so... it's good because it looks new and clean and at the same time still gives the same feeling!
    • I did notice that there was like a yellow filter (the lighting maybe) although I got used to it as I was watching the stage, but yes it's there, but I read that they've fixed it now! ^^
    • Now let's start talking about the stage! when the performance started with the first song "Koko Kara da", I thought the song sounds like it's from a fairytale, like a Disney movie or something. in a good way! it's a good intro to the stage. I also just knew that the girls would be wearing other outfits under those long dresses lol! and indeed they did! and I LOVE their yellow outfits, they're so nice! I like how each girl has different elements in the outfit but they all look similar from far and they all look good! the 3 songs that they performed with these outfits were all good, all happy songs! Loved it. "Gekijou e Youkoso" is GREAT!
    • I have to mention the fact that seeing Yuiyui as the main center of the stage was so nice to me. Obviously it was not a surprise that she was picked to center; and she's my favorite member so obviously I love it! but I thought that maybe for this stage, they might do like some things I've seen in other groups and give up on the position of center. Basically, give centers to everyone. I have to say, I'm not a fan of this... of course, I like the idea of different girls having a chance to center, definitely, but I still think the center position is a very important thing to AKB and that without it, seeing 16 girls perform with someone different in front all the time kinda makes it lack cohesiveness, it feels like there is no identity. but also obviously I'm not saying a girl should center at every part of every song lol. Just having a real center position, a member who stands at the center for a little more than others, who represents the group, who gives an image to the group... like that. I think it's important. and I mean, it could be any member and I would still think it's necessary. I'm not just saying this because my favorite member gets it! but yes in this case I'm lucky that it's my favorite member who gets it XD She didn't stand at the center all the time, didn't center every song either (like Yuiri gets to center a song around the end, and some other songs were quite divided) but yes, Yuiyui centers most songs and I think she did amazing. She is just so beautiful... I feel like every year she becomes better and better as an idol, like she's always been great but she reaches a new peak all the time. She's perfect!
    • and so! The next part is the units. First unit is Yuiyui center with Zukkii and Erii! I love this unit and it's my favorite one >.< The cuteness! Their outfits, the candy canes at the end, and the cute stuff on the screens, it gave a "magical girl anime" feeling, and the song is so cute, I just love everything ;w; Following this, we have the Aichan center unit that I find quite nice too, I like their outfits! The song is less memorable, I'll need to see it more to make an opinion. and then we have the Christmas unit centered by Naru! a darker song! I really like their black outfits here, the girls all look so good! This song is more dance-focused and cool, which is nice to see. But also the lyrics mention Christmas, and at the top of their outfits, there is a Christmas touch too. I was wondering, this will be performed all year so it might feel a bit weird in other months, but also this is not the first time AKB has a Christmas-related song in a stage, besides their outfits are dark and the song is cool so it technically isn't really a Christmas sounding song XD But yes! I like it though.
    • At this point, I realized that 12 members already performed and only 4 members were left for the last 2 units. I knew it wouldn't be 2 duets (that would be awkward) so I thought it would be one solo and then 3 members unit. I thought the solo would be a new gen so either Azu or Itomomo and it turns out it's Azu! well, the performance was good and the song sounds fresh! I did wish that her dress would have been different, a little more memorable. She's wearing a white/very light blue long dress. I think something colorful, with a more interesting shape and some accessory, would have made this performance a lot stronger! it's important for a solo because she's alone on stage so yes >.< but it was nice! and lastly the final unit, I was thinking that between Yuiri/Miion/Itomomo, Yuiri might center it... but no, Itomomo centered it! *-* I was so happy when they entered the stage, and Itomomo was in the center ;___; and the song is so cute! I love it. it made me smile :')
    • The next group songs after this were good: it starts with a cool/dark song, followed by a fun/cute song "Kiseki ga Kiete mo", which was actually one of my favorite parts! I love the little dance that they do when there's the little music. This was such a cute performance, it made me smile (again!). and then after this, they performed a nice refreshing song (idk how else to describe this type of song but! yes XD like Labrador Retriever! that type of feeling). Lastly, after MC, the final song before Encore was a slower song, as expected ^^
    • The Encore started with the Yuiri center song (choreography by former Morning Musume ace Sayashi Riho btw). This is a good song and I actually think Yuiri is perfect as center! I think she did great with the jumps and the choreography in general. Of course everyone did good (and of course I focused on Yuiyui too hehe) this is a cool song and it's good! the next song is quite cool too but a little cuter maybe? it's the impression I had! and lastly the final song is cute and slower ^^ it's a nice way to end the stage!

    That's it! I didn't comment on the MC parts but they were nice too! Naru did a speech around the end where she said that the group aims for Tokyo Dome (I feel like it's been a long time since they last said this actually >.<) it's good to have dreams and goals even if they're big and seem impossible. I hope the girls work hard with this dream in mind!

    Overall I really enjoyed the stage and I had a very good time watching this! As I said, I focused a lot on Yuiyui (naturally) but I also paid attention to Itomomo a lot, she's great, I'm very happy that they included her in the shonichi performers ;w; I love her. and I also think everyone did great! Really they were all nice and I appreciated all the members who performed ^^

    I also want to add, Yuiyui cried in the end, in the last songs, at the final speech and then when they said goodbye, she was covering her face and Yuiri hugged her T_T I think among the girls there, she was the most emotional... She really loves AKB so much and I'm touched by her passion for the group T_T

    I hope I'll be able to watch more performances of this stage because I truly enjoyed it and I'm so glad for the group and for the girls that they can have a FRESH start with a new stage, a new beautiful theater, great songs and dances and outfits, and there is so much positivity around this. Let's keep supporting AKB and help them reach their dreams!!
