Mion would be Out of left field and I wouldn't mind it (doubt it though).

The ppl who I think could be the center for this track

    Mayu
Mayu and Paruru, Jurina, Sakura, or Sayanee
Kojiharu and Takamina - If Kojiharu announces her graduation at Request Hour (like I think she will). I could see this being like last year (with Yuko centering her final single).

A little bit late than usual, maybe the election would be pushed back, too.

Yeah, a bit later than usual, I realized. Maybe because of the upcoming album that would make the window a bit too close than usual?

I wonder if this will have the election tickets? It's either that, or a rushed single...or a pushed back election date.

The big events are always on time but the release dates of the single are the ones that always adjust.

    It is.

Probably not anything. Maybe just wanted to release a song in march for the first time in 6 years. Who knows?

    I agree

Their spring summer always released on January or February

Maybe they skip the spring single and they make a summer single (but i think it's too early)

Ya until now we still don't know what's the theme in this single lol

    About the MV
If they didnt record yet , they have cca. 10-12 days from now.
(If you check the schedule 21-25th Jan is RH2015 which will be insane, also 1 month before the release should be start the PR)
So they have shooting time in 7th-18th Jan
    or they already recorded...

There is a rumour, that on 17th December 2014. was the MV shooting.
Lot of senior member was together on that day (according on 755 posts, twitters and G+), and it can be concluded tha maybe its a "old gen" theme song and could be thet Takamina will be center.

They didnt. 10nen Zakura (sakura/spring in 2009) was released on March 4th, 2009.

Don't know why some ppl think this is the summer single already. That single isn't coming out till May (or June if they go the 2009 route to where the election is in July.)

Don't forget 6 for 2008 (I know it released a different way, but still).

I think they have. (Back in December) I think Sasshi mentioned something that made u believe it was the shooting of the MV. I know we will know everything during one of the encores for Request Hour like we usually do.

A Sakura single for a girl named Sakura, that would make sense.

16nin Senbatsu for the single: Takamina, Kojiharu, Miichan, Mayuyu, Yukirin, Paruru, Yuihan, Jurina, Rena, Sayanee, Milky, Sasshi, Sakura, Ikoma, Yuria, Ricchan
I doubt they'll be excluding Miichan from senbatsu until her graduation. The only possibilities to have other members in 16nin Senbatsu would be dropping Yuria or Milky or Ikoma, or if to the extreme, Miichan or Ricchan.
I guess for the time being, 16nin Senbatsu will be hard. They might settle for 16+nin Senbatsu. Maybe 18 or more, but less than 32.
Old gen theme? No3b center with Takamina in the middle, lol so Takamina center maybe. ;)

That was my hope for Sakura, minna de tabeta, but alas... :^^;:

I hope they don't kick out new gens from senbatsu; even if it's an old gen song or whatever, they still need to push those saplings so they can get more exposure and carry on the legacy. Hoping that Kawaei, Annin, and Mako would be a lock, but the addition of Yuria, Renacchi, Juri, and Miion would be more than welcomed too.

I've always liked AKB48's sakura songs (even if more than half of the fandom probably thinks they're boring..?) so I'm really looking forward to this! <3

I dont why some would think the bikini single will be pushed back. The gap between cool, janken and sakura single was 2 months for years so having the bikini single in May as usual is totally doable.

This will still likely to be Sakura themed since last year sister groups' Sakura single were released in March as well
