Nogi members are also young members who are rising stars and are receiving push from management. Keyaki are all new, they're all "rising starts" lol so they just picked the most popular members currently.

Mion? Mako? Dare I say Naachan? Hiwatan? They have many potential "future aces", some of them already tried and tested (mako) and others doing very well for themselves (mion)

But looking solely at this single, going by popularity, the front row consists of the most popular members of 48G, Nogi, and Keyaki, which out of the members picked, are Asuka, Miona, Techi, Jurina, and Sakura. That's fair game.

The only problems I have for this lineup is;
1) No NMB or NGT rep. Miru, Ayaka, Nakai, and Moeka would have been great for this.
2) Techi center. Not because I don't like the idea of a 46g member centering an AKB song, which seems to be the reason most of you guys are upset, but simply because the girl needs to rest. She's only 15 and she's having to bare the title of center for her group where all eyes are on them, and now has essentially been picked as the ace of all future 48/6 stars. At least do her a favor and pair her with Asuka, Mion or Sakura as a Wcenter. She seemed so done during the 4th single announcement. I'm worried she'll burn out before her time. Management will never learn.

Other than that, all the members chosen are great, happy with this lineup overall.

 

I don't think it has anything to do with popularity though. Asuka is indeed popular in Nogi, but not Hori. She is being considered as "future ace" of Nogi, just like Asuka. Jurina is and will still be the future ace of SKE (since she is still young), the same go with Sakura and Hirate. That's why I think the front line's members are consist of ace/future ace of each group.

And yeah, now that you mentioned... There is no NMB... That's weird. NGT is understandable since they haven't release their debut single yet.

 

Sakura and Hori in the same song? I'm already confused.

Not quite, not quite. But it would've been funny if during the MV shooting someone had told them "Seriously, one of you has to wear extensions!"

 

Nogi chosen members are split 3-3, 1st gen and 2nd gen. Asuka is the most popular 1st gen in that batch, Miona is the most popular 2nd gen in that batch. Out of all 6 of them, those two are the chosen future aces of the group. That's what I was referring too.
No doubt, Mion will be the member closest to the front out of all the AKB members because out of the chosen ones, she is the most popular and the current chosen ace.
I get we're pretty much on the same page lol, i just wanted to clarify what i meant in my last post when i referred to most popular.
