So I think it's safe to think they're just pushing Nana bc she's the most successful push recently, not because they thought it would be great if they did a song like UZA where Nana would rock it.
Kind of a disappointment, but I'll not freak out, maybe it's a nice song or something. Maybe.

Just wondering, how was Uza and those dark songs received by the public? If it’s not well received, I’m not surprised that management aren’t willing to put those out anymore. If not, then I’m assuming it’s the current members’ inabilities to carry out such a concept.

AKB48 is Fine, they will still be #1 Selling 5x the amount the #2 artist will be that week (Which I'm guessing Perfume, since they have a single coming out on that day).

Meh I wouldn’t be worried. He isn’t going to outsell them physically and akb has no chance of even getting close to his digital sales so it will all be fine.

It seems akb lost to them since 2013 in physical album sales

I think it is better to compare singles based on season. Spring singles for sure have low sales. This single should be compared to Shoot Sign.

Albums sure, but singles? Not a chance.
Nogi is the only other regular million seller. No one else is close.

If people are wondering why NMB HS sales by the 3rd round isn't really good, it is mainly because there is no HS in Osaka for this single. Usually they have at least 1 in Osaka which is usually sold out the earliest for most of NMB members.
Also some interesting thing got my attention when looking at the 47th single (spring?) sales vs this. 47th single did sold out more HS by the 3rd round (226 (51st) vs 294 (47th), -68) and the number of participating members are actually comparable (324 members for the 47th and 326 for the 51st), but the interesting part is that on the 47th single the total amount of HS slot was 3101 and this time it is 3715. On average, members have more slots to sell, thus making it harder to actually sold out a slot unless their fanbases are concentrating on a certain slot or date.
*this is 47th vs 51st. Compared to 50th single, the average of slot/member is similar vs 51st single

Yunana's vulcans are nothing compared to Moeka's missiles though.

Not to mention reduced concerts. We only had 4 major concerts last year. This caused some fans to oshihen to other idol groups, especially those who are at the same level as Ogawa Maina.

Interesting. This single (and the normal ones) has 6 HS Events, so the allocated HS slots are divisible by 6 (except the top girls who spare some slots for special stages). In Shoot Sign, we had 5 normal HS events and one Yukata festival. The number of allocated HS slots there were divisible by 5, so I guess they did not sell HS but another ticket for the Yukata Festival.

Mion sent a mobile mail regarding the sousenkyo shortly after handshake applications started. It seemed to have encouraged many of her fans to start seriously saving up for the election and to prioritize votes over handshake tickets. I've seen several Mion fans tweet or post on 5ch (formerly 2ch) that they're applying for fewer or no handshakes for the 51st single because they're saving up for the election. There also doesn't seem to be too much concern from her own fans regarding her drop in sales because they expected it to happen for this single.
