I think "Teacher Teacher" gets better each NEW Time I see it performed. The "Utacon" had lots of close-ups & the pan-across at the end gives everyone a quick shot at the members. I personally like the dance formation in the beginning. This is an "A-Side" evergreen - you can perform this a year from now & it's still sexy & visually interesting. PLUS, the girls seem to like it. Every girl gets to wink or gesture or sell her smile to the camera in her own way.

Based on it being a Saucy A-Side you can actually listen & dance to as opposed to a EGO-Folk Song or that Choral Nonsense from last year - I think a Million in a week is a safe assessment.

Again - it's hard to judge. I want to crow & rub Salt in the haters face & say how great this is BUT, lets face it - the Voting Ticket & the multiple rounds of Handshake tickets seem to make ANY Single 'bullet-proof'. How do we judge the sales based on the Single or the Voting Ticket. I gather the Votes ONLY come in 1 edition? so maybe that's the measuring stick? I don't know honestly.

I really was bored by the rest of the offerings on this CD but most of you Loved them so I'm that's a PLUS for Music Content lovers. I really can't say

I can say various "Casual Japanese AKB fans" might be a tad cash strapped as there's been a Multi-Day Concert from "Another Group" touring Japan to a packed Stadium in Saitama, Japan recently & all that Merch costs money.

It's hard to separate the CD sales from the simple "Votes" - I'm sure there's a way but also people said the Voting has become more "Restrictive"?? To only votes cast IN 'Japan'?? I DON'T KNOW - No jumping or finger-waving if you obsess over these details. I just really enjoy the song & hope it does well.

 

2 million are probably secured, but I don’t know where Oricon sits anymore with the bulk buying and all.

Still, the current being 2.462/5.875... that’s over 3000 slots that we don’t know at what % of selling out they are, so god knows.

I'm pretty sure oricon limits counts on anything over 20 per purchase, so it's practically impossible for oricon to reach 2m

I'd say first day around 1.3m oricon, but actual sales of around 2m for the week.

 

It sounded like a Choral song - they lined up on Stage like a Choir when they performed it 1st on NHK's NCON...which is a Traditional School Choir competition. Which is where most of us 1st heard it. I prefer to call it "Wishful Tumbling" (since I just learned the English name)- When I 1st Heard it- it was a CHOIR SONG. I don't care if they Jazzed it up later & made it sound like "Les Miserables" (a Showtune)- The SAME Song was performed by AKB as a Choir Song.

Further - even w/out saying it's proper name YOU know the song I mean because most of us heard it as a CHOIR version & know it was done on NHK TV's competition. Even WIKIPedia mentions it's Choir Origins - I've included a thumbnail from that page. Always a pleasure Trinu. I hope everyone enjoyed this rehash of an argument from a year ago.
