I forgot Jurina was back lol Was legit shocked when I saw her in the performance.

 

That's Sasshi for you. Too bad she's leaving.

Damn she's such a good sportmanship (and leader, ofc).

The female emcee (i forget her name) was horrible.
bring back Amami Yuki!

Now that I think of it, is there any unwritten rule that an artist have to go with the highest sale release that year?

About Tao-chan, a bad slip of tounge on the moment she is in the clip. She might be great for the rest of the event. Oh, and she is a feast for the eyes too lol

 

They always perform the songs that are nominated for the awards...so yea I guess they don't got much of a choice.


The performance was decent tho. Those outfits were not very suitable tho? They should have performed in the original TT outfits.

 

How is a song nominated anyway? Do AKB management choose which song to compete with or is it automatically the highest selling single of the group? And I thought Sentimental Train earned more (in Oricon numbers).

Anyways there's no way any single would beat the voting single anyways even with Oricon restrictions (which became more relaxed judging from the numbers)

 

At least it was nominated and it won Best Song Award. Lol. Noone thought it would win Grand Prix.

 

That woman MC sounds like she's just got this career yesterday.

 

My bad.. i didn't check. I just remember Sentimental doing well relative to post SSK singles.. then I remember Flying Get being AKB's entry that year..

Oh well, so with Teacher Teacher, AKB really had no chance..

That was a pretty good teacher teacher perf -- yuiyui looked terrific (she's like a main boss). And nakai looks like an idol that earns a lot of money.
And imo yah Tsuchiya was a pretty bad MC -- she seemed like she was always looking at the prompt and wasn't conversing with anyone. And it seems like she doesn't know any of the performing groups (at least the 48/46 ones).

 

Flying get was a hit thats why. The years that AKB has no hits, the SSK single got nominated on the merit of being the best selling single of the year (2012, 2014, 2015, 2017, 2018)

Yukirin...you are the teacher. But she looks great at the center. While the cameraman really like Sasshi.

 

with this song and charisma, Yukirin would be the perfect center for this song in general Sexy!

 

I feel it’s very funny when much older members (mothers) substituting their juniors (daughters) in live performances. Yukirin subbing Yuiyui in Teacher Teacher, while Sasshi subbing Sakura in NWM.

Mothers: “Hey lookie lookie, we’re doing better than our daughters!”
Daughters: “Of course Mommies, you’re doing much better than us, despite your age.”
