Single AKB48 53rd [Sentimental Train] (2018/09/19)

AkiP has been pretty blatant that Jurina is one of his golden girls, so I hope he came back from retirement and went all out for the single of his oshi (unless that title is reserved for Hirate only nowadays)

 

Now that he is working on Produce48 I get the feeling he is inspired about AKB again. I really hope I'm right and we get another Golden age AkiP songs.

 

I am expecting a shitty song so what ever come out I will be happy LOL

 

I hope it's something dark and SKE- (i.e. Team K-)-esque, rather than the usual stuff we've been getting for SSK songs. Also hope the B-sides are good this time.

 

Taking into account Jurina's actions on Saturday, I expect something like this.

 

excited for Moe/Kuranoo/Taniguchi centers as well... want to see what they give these girls.

 

I wonder what the Undergirls song will be like From Kaotan’s chara, a funny quirky song? But maybe I’ll be surprised kinda want something with Kaotan and her camera with cute POV shots of the girls~ They’ve got a lot of prominent members from the 48grp so I hope it’s a good production.

 

I hope something upbeat & a dance tune song I would be really mad if AKI-P give her a song like 11-anklet

Y'all forget about this? They gave this to Kaotan when she centered UG in 2014.

Also how last year's SSK Single Coupling (except for the Showroom unit) were all dark songs, despite the fact that not all of the centers had cool vibes. Don't hold your breath people, Aki-P can do anything
It's also ironic that Kaotan's last UG center song sounds more idolish than AKB's recent singles.

I'm all for a dance-y song tbh. I mean you get 5 SKE members (flanking every row) + Hinatan + Naachan and Tomu + PD48-upgraded Nako (Akarin is also decent too), what more can you ask? Escape-level won't be that hard for them.

Then, you throw the cute songs to UG (to troll Kaotan) and the 10th Anniversary Special Unit.

 

oh, who is that behind Kaotan that girl looked pretty. Haven't seen anyone looked similar recently.

Can they just pull songs reserved for Keya46?

I know it wouldn’t help in terms of sale but this being 10 year SSK anniversary single, I really hope they step up and deliver on both A-Side and B-sides.

AKB single has been lacking for me personally in terms of music and Keya46 is kinda taking over.
It’s just sad.

 

I could see Beginner/River being Keya's singles.

It'd be cool to see something like that again and I'm not even a fan of River.

 

I doubt they're EVER going to do an AKB A-side with a difficult dance like River or Beginner again. Even a dance that is a step or two beyond "A pre-schooler could do this" is a lot to hope for these days. They just don't want to take the time to train the very busy media senbatsu to do a more complex dance. We can't have practice cutting down on the time they have for handshake events.
