I mean, he's gonna die at some point. I wanna see the 48 Group outlive him and continue when he's gone, with new lyricists and new girls. It would be interesting to keep this project going and in like 20 years, we can say we were there to witness the beginning of the group.

 

This concert was my first seeing AKB48 and WOW! Still don't believe I was there and Erina Oda walked in front of my over and over again! She's the best!!! Help get her in the top 16 next year!!

So Im scrolling thru and other than the usual back and forth bickering, I do not see any mention of the emergency meeting they had after ssk. I was wondering if anyone knew if that got subbed at all? seemed interesting. As always, thanks in advance.

 

The emergency meeting was mentioned a lot in this thread. Try using the search. I don't know about proper subs but some people mentioned the main points

 

It starts on page 180... it's hard to find because it's mentioned right after the jurina/ sakura exchange during the concert, followed soon after a few comments on pg 181 with more about y jurina apologized... so if ur just skimming it is easy to miss it (it happened to me too when i was searching for it and we didn't have these many pages)... i quoted a summary placed here

So I was rewatching sousenkyo and noticed a few things.

The celebration when someone ranks between NGT, SKE & HKT and NMB is like night and day, whats up with that?

Also I never knew Jurina was close to NGT members, I saw her hugging a few of them when they ranked.
Was Oguri Yui's goal senbatsu? (she went from 21k to 31k votes) Mion went from next girls to senbatsu (around 18k votes to 47k votes). I was expecting a higher rank from Yuiyui but she'll probably make a huge jump next year.

Also made me think about how far naanya would come, if she was still in the group and that if that scandal never happened

As for the difference in celebrations...

I think SKE has always been like that, as they’ve always been quite strong in SSK.
I think there was a year were most ranking girls were SKE.

NMB is like the middle child who is never happy with anything (and their fans don’t even care about SSK anyway), while HKT and NGT are the youngest who are happy with all the love they’re getting, whatever it is.

I also think NMB is not very... close knit?

And mion is the UG center last year (17th), you sure you are looking for the right Mion or last year SSK?

Hard to say, it can be UcG or 80-100 maybe. Her popularity was actually already dwindling down even before that incident.

Everyone except her voting committee practically dumbfounded.

About SKE, they are always like that AFAIK. And also, it is their home turf after all. Around half of the venue was filled with SKE wotas.

 

i was talking about the year Mion was pushed alot and then she centered a single before sousenkyo, Tsubasa wa Iranai, did everyone forget about that? I am aware of her drop last year, but i was talking prior to that, I probably should have made it clearer. it was a while ago but Mion was really pushed from 2nd half of 2015 to 2016.

Edit: 2015 senbatsu election, she ranked 44th with around 18k votes
2016 she made senbatsu, with 47k, more than double her votes from the year before.

 

Ah I see. 2015, she was #44. But by the time they give her pre-ssk center in 2016 she jumped into #13.
So yeah, you can see why Oguri was disappointed.

 

I think Mion’s case was more an exception to the rule. Girls don’t jump that many ranks naturally (unless you’re NGT lol).

Yui is on a good pace though.
As long as she makes senbatsu next year, she’ll be fine.
If she doesn’t... she might fall into that perennial UG situation like Kojimako.

Then you should know that NMB are close, they just don't do well in SSK so the whole group and their fans look really sour during the event.. it's like doomsday for most of us lol
But before and after the ssk season, the girls are super close. Not in your face like the other sister groups, but it's there.
