Album AKB48 9th [Bokutachi wa, ano hi no yoake wo shitteiru] (2018/01/24)

That's oxymoron. You want a good discussion and yet you want people to see the only way see things? Part of having a good discussion to accept or understand people have different taste in just about anything. Esp with things like "song lyrics", it's not science, it's not that black and white. there's no set of rules that determined what constitutes good lyrics or bad lyrics.

You do this yourself to other members. you have tried to force your point of view onto others many times. you'll "laugh" at them for thinking HS will result in bad sales. you'll make snarky comments at them whenever they disagree with you.

 

Oxymoron? Lol

Some people were complaining about SG taking akb girls spots again. Its been like the 100th time since I joined the forum. I'm pretty sure that's an opinion or topic that has being beaten to a dead horse like people said who has been here longer than me. (One person even admitted his reasoning "just because I want so" and proposed that aki-p could've just written x amount of more songs to make up for EVERY single akb girl. Tell me again you can agree to that.)

Well in my opinion the 'soul' is the music. That's why singles have off-vocal versions, not off-music versions. And it's easy to create lyrics, anyone who can talk can do it.

"It's easy to create lyrics, anyone who can talk can do it" is a really bad argument because you can also say "it's easy to create music, anyone who has a voice can do it by humming out melodies, or anyone who has a hand can do it by striking on some piano keys". The point is not just having words in a song, but having words that actually fit a certain standard of quality and satisfy enough people. That is less easy. Just like making music that actually fit a certain standard of quality and satisfy enough people is not easy. Your statement is just an insult to lyricists (not just Akimoto Yasushi but just all lyricists who make a living out of writing lyrics).

Though I'm not arguing the "is lyrics or music more important in a song" question because it's entirely subjective. Some people pay more attention to the music, some people pay more attention to the lyrics, some people pay more attention to the singer's delivery, some other people pay attention to some other things. That's it.

Actually if it's just for the sake of inclusion, you can have just ONE song for the currently excluded AKB girls and that's it. Still not as many participants as Ano Hi no Fuurin (which includes 171 unranked members in the 2012 SSK). lol Though I think the production time frame (I doubt they've had a whole year to prepare this album) and the budget are what determine how many songs we get now, instead of "how easy/difficult it is to make x/y/z". It's still sad for the girls but... yeah. The recent albums have been just quick money-grabbers with minimum promotion so I bet the management just want to spend as little as they can on it...

Anyway I hope we get previews of some of the songs soon...

I know that complaining about the SG in AKB is stupid at this point.
They will stay in senbatsu, they will stay in the HS, blablabla.

But the SG have their singles and all their members get to participate in them.
AKB girls? It's been over two years.

The solution is not to put team songs INSTEAD of random units with SG girls.



Remember Kuchibiru ni Be My Baby?
Remember Kibouteki Refrain?

They were able to put all their faves AND the AKB girls.
So why is it suddently something so outrageous to ask?

And again, this isn's just the fans, it's the girls themselves that complain about the situation.

Look I really don't want to drag on this topic...

But the real practical solution imo is AKB needs to stop relying on aki-p for lyrics and build up a new younger or bunch of lyricist that has passion for AKB. What if the man passes away tomorrow? Are we all done for? (Bless Sasshi who can write good songs for =Love, if she can do it, I believe tons of talented people are just lining up at the doorstep to send in their lyrics)

At this point, AKB management should go along with some of you guys and learn how to let go of things.

It's OOT but there are some musicians here in Indonesia who are willing to write lyrics for JKT. I think AkiP must consider that, too. Would be great.

 

Unless something big happens (like Tsunku from Hello Project with his illness), I don't see AkiP giving up that power. He will write the lyrics with his favorite phrases "footprints" "light and shdow" "something something is/was born"

 

Yes, I see the rule “AkiP writes all lyrics” is no more than an effort to maintain his power and general control. When he releases the token, someone in AKS may kick his ass.

Might be boring for some people, but I like the vibes especially during the refrain part.

Anyway that first solo line from Miss Okada Nana in Namida no Hyomen is gonna be one of her vocal highlight.
