Well, congratulations to NGT's 2nd gen for automatically qualifying for the Final Tournament!!!!

 

FYI, I'm updating the full list on the OP (One by One).

 

Well, apart from Sayanee who is graduating and Annin who is filming the Mexican drama, there are only 6 members missing (Yokomichi Yuri, Hirano Hikaru, Hiwatashi Yui, Matsui Jurina, Kodama Haruka and Goto Rara) and I think all of them were said to be on hiatus.

Also, NMB's 6th gen were just presented this week so unless they let them form a group like NGT's 2nd gen (who were also recently presented) I don't think they will participate at all.

I'm so excited to do my own Janken simulator Lol. I hope that one of the Solo Kenkyuuseis win; I need an iconic moment like that to happen this year.

 

Nao-chan going solo is awesome. It happeneds that I’ve got tickets for the Ikinari Punchline HS event a week after Janken Taikai so I hope I get to congratulate her being the Queen.

 

Boy oh boy, why is it that I read about this detail only now? What are the odds they'll end up in a direct match with whatever team Sashihara is in?

By the way, for those who aren't aware of it, this is because Sashihara was the only person in AKB at the time of the double incidents to still defend the management. One time by stating in a tweet that the incidents stemmed just from carelessness on the girls' part ("even the girls involved know it"), and that it's not fair at all to blame the management for the poor safety. And another time, in direct response to an appeal from Yuihan, by telling that, since there's no safety countermeasures, she or someone else should just be screaming into the members' earpieces to warn them when they are about to misstep and fall.

What are the odds of the duo actually defeating Sashihara at it, also? That would be poetry.

I don't know if I'd go as far as lapdog, on the other side of that coin she was also the first (and for a long time the only) person to call out the management for the Okinawa fiasco. I just think she has strong opinions and like everyone that has strong opinions it happens that some of those are stupid.

 

I'm not really sure if I'd call Sasshi a lapdog either, but the example of "she criticized management the one last time she'd be at the center of attention (last SSK)" is a weak argument
