AKB48 Group x SHOWROOM

Congrats to all the girls who made it! I'm happy that Yuiyui got in top 8 (she was the member that I supported), however I can't help but feel sad for Harupyon. She tried so much during this event and she was actually in top 3 for the longest time until the last days where she fell and then she didn't make it ._. I sometimes checked her streams and helped a little, she did cosplay and all, it's so sad that she didn't make it T_T tbh they should have made this 10 members because the 9th and 10th have such high points. it feels so unfair... sigh ._.

I'm sad for Niina as well, I think she really had a chance to make it and I was supporting her ;_; She had to take a break for covid and never returned. This would have been so big for a KKS to get into Showroom senbatsu, appear in a b-side and MV (that are so rare for AKB now)... so sad ;_;

it's amazing how Onishi got back in top 8, after not being able to stream for a while. Her fans really did the necessary lol. I think it's deserved considering she was top 2 at the beginning.

Oh and I'm also happy for Zunchan, she is so dedicated to AKB and really loves the group so I'm glad she's getting this chance! and wow she ended up in the top 3. Congrats!

Also, I hope the song doesn't end up being a dance song lol... even though Hitomi won, she can do other styles too, and I hope they'll have a song that is good for all of the 8 members!

Btw this was my first time to participate in a Showroom event, and probably the last time too (I mean, Showroom is not even available for me and I had to use a VPN lol)

 

Participating in this event as a fan was very stressful. I understand now why Komiyama Haruka said she won't wholeheartedly participate in streaming events anymore. She skipped the previous LARME x Showroom events, and she did participate in this one, but she didn't have a dedicated schedule and just streamed whenever and however long she wanted to.

I supported Kobayashi Ran, who didn't make it, and it's a shame because she tried hard. She really tried to stream those 3 hours every day, even when she had theatre performances and the HADO-kai event. She did loads of different kinds of stream as well, such as cosplay, karaoke, dance session, or challenges for herself, such as only speaking Kansai dialect or not saying any English phrases, etc. I feel sorry for her but appreciate the work ethic.

I also stumbled across some other members' streams, such as Zunchan and Harupyon, who also had dedicated schedules and star collection guides (see the post above by @David61, Zunchan's guide even had English on it).

Even Hitomi's fans were really stressed, especially on the last day. And if it hadn't been for the big gap they'd raked up during the whole event, I also think she wouldn't have ranked first. Hitomi herself said she won't accept anything other than 1st after how hard her fans had worked those 2 weeks, and it seems it paid off for her to say that.

 

While I also love Pyon and Nagi and would love for them to be included, it would be just unfair to everyone else. The fact that their fans and people supporting them gave tons of points is exactly because they are at the borderline in the first place... If top 10 is suddenly allowed then Zun/Oonishi fans didn't have to spend for all those last day points... and Kaori/Ayami fans would've spent more instead, reaching comparably high points too.
Yeah it's painful and heartbreaking, but that's just how AKB competition happens sometimes...

 

It seems that Pyon was getting some help from the Onishi Army. As soon as she returned...

Nagi "army" dropped the kumas too late. They let the gap widen too much.

And no, they will not enlarge it to ten members, as they didn't make Ayane and Onishi regular LARME models.

She said on her mobame that there will be another kuyashii announcement soon.

 

If AKB had allowed sisters group to participate in a coupling song, the real showroom senbatsu would be these 6 girls, who do showroom-live every single day, not just a SSK-like event.

 

Onishi has streamed everyday for 6 years until Covid stopped her. So she should be center of the unit, doesn't she?

I'm not familiar with showroom rules and points, so thank you and credits to @/Rurouni for the information below: (we discussed in discord)

• There isn't any maximum streaming limit (normal competition has 3hr limit/day)
• Therefore ideally, to reach the highest reward, all of them need to stream everyday and should target max stream time/day
• Still need a lot of paying fans to reach the 10M and 15M though.

Hopefully they'll all get more fans through this event.

They cleared all goals (1M, 10M and 15M), and the rewards are:

1. Rights to create 17ki members' Original Avatars in SHOWROOM
2. SHOWROOM original Special Program for 17ki members
   • expected to be broadcasted by mid-October onwards.
3. Shibuya Station ads for 17ki Members
   • Location will be around Shibuya station, unsure whether indoor or outdoor yet.
   • Ads will be on display for about a month, from Nov 7 to Dec 4
