Former AKB48 Member Rinaw Kawaei will appear in episode 3 of TV TOKYO's Drama 24 "Tokyo Sentimental". The Episode will be aired on January 29th



Kururi Takuzo (by Yoshida Kotaro ) lives in Tokyo. He was born and raised there. He sold Dango, a Japanese dumpling and sweet, at his wagashi store "Kururiya" which his family has operated for generations. Kururi Takuzo was once married, but is now divorced. He lives freely. His hobby is to go for walks with his camera. Kururi Takuzo takes pictures of the scenery of Tokyo.

Japan Expo Thailand 2016 was held for three days at Bangkok's Central World shopping mall.

Takahashi Minami to release Photo Diary "Utsurina, Utsurina"

AKB48 Member Minami Takahashi will release her photo diary "Utsurina, Utsurina" on February 24th.

The Photo Diary will collect the photo collection from her social media including Twitter and 755 from September 2014 to December 2015, including her trip to Okinawa (which was in August 2015) with Kojima Haruna and general manager Kayano Shinobu.

Total 800 photos of 3,000 photos are picked for the photo diary, and all of them were took by Takahashi Minami herself.

A Pretty intresting way of doing a photoshooot If I would say so myself. That's what both Actor/Model/Singer Saito Takumi and AKB48 Member Haruna Kojima did for the magazine "anan".

First reported in the newspaper "Nikkan Sports" as being a Project for a magazine "anan". Also made its way to morning shows in Japan as well.





Don't really see stuff like this reported in a newspaper or on tv. But with the way the photos are, you can say it made a huge impact. So kudos to the magazine "anan" and to Saito and Kojiharu for doing this.

Shimada Haruka LOST 12 kgs

AKB48 Members Haruka Shimada and Miki Nishino were apart of the "Furusato wari" press conference and Shimada Haruka mentioned that she has lost 12 kgss, she weighed 58.5 kgs (128.9lbs) and now weighs only 46.5 kgs (102.5 lbs)

Shimada said she could not fit into costumes and that it took her longer than other members to get into costumes. She mentioed also that Takahashi Minami pointed it out to her that she might be too fat. So Shimada Haruka decided to go on a diet.

Watanabe Mayu will appear on Matsumoto Seicho TV SP

AKB48 member Watanabe Mayu will make an appearance in TV Asahi 2-episodes drama Special "Matsumoto Seicho 2 nights TV Special".

Watanabe Mayu will play the character "Yukino" who is a Geisha (or Geigi) in first episode "Chihoshi wo Kau Onna" of the TV special, the episode will be aired on March 12, 2016.

Matsumoto Seicho was one of most popular Japanese writers, he created a new tradition of Japanese detective fiction. The subject of his works was not just the crime but also the society in which the crime was committed.

Chihoshi wo Kau Onna's leading actress is Shioda Yoshiko (cast by Hirosue Ryoko) subscribes to a regional newspaper from Kanazawa, she is waiting for the news of the discovery of the bodies of two lovers who have committed suicide.

Chihoshi wo Kau Onna was adapted to movie as "Kiken na Onna."in 1959, it was it 9th time made into a TV drama since 1957.

Yokoyama Yui will be Leading Actress of AKB Horror Night Final ep

AKB48 member Yokoyama Yui will be the leading actress in the final episode "Remake" of AKB48 Horror TV series "AKB Horror Night Adrenaline no Yoru". The episode will be aired on March 2, 2016.



The TV series is an audition for TV Asahi to pick the leading actress of upcoming renzoku drama that is going to start in the fall of 2016. It will be an online poll for fans to vote their best actress, and the winner will be the leading actress for TV Asahi upcoming TV drama, the voting period from March 2, 2016 (after final episode aired) to March 2, 2016 (23:59 JST).
