Even tho she didn't have much to do this episode, it was great seeing Hama-chan again.

 

Just watched the behind the scenes for #16,
Hama got quite a screentime discussing with Mouri-san, seems like he wanted Hama in show before but she was busy with stage play.
Also seeing them rehearsing some of the special skills breaks the immersion a little bit.
Was expecting all of them are actually ready with their own tricks, but yeah seems like some needs to be prepared/scripted beforehand. (Like Miion's typing)
Overall still a good episode. Nice to see the legendary Scrambled_egg san got invited.

Great episode!

Every single time Ran-chan gets camera time, she blows me away. It's incredible that she's learned every single position for Moto Kare desu.

It reminded me of an interview I read in December: the interviewers asked members what they think about the future of AKB48 and Mukaichi Mion said they have some kouhais who put a lot of effort into AKB48, so she isn't worried. Her specific exampled was Kobayashi Ran, who showed up for the rehearsals for 'Ne mo Ha mo Rumor' every day and was the first non-senbatsu member to learn the choreography. Whenever a senbatsu member was absent from rehearsals, Ran-chan was able to fill the position because she knew all the positions.

I also remember Murayama Yuiri and Okada Nana praising Ran's skills and efforts when it comes to dancing, but I couldn't find this anymore. It made me happy at the time because Naachan was the most recent center then. It's good for Ran's recognisability to be praised by members like YuuNaaOn.

I will also shamelessly plug one of her recent SHOWROOM streams. As some of you will be aware, AKB48 is holding a SHOWROOM Senbatsu event currently, where the Top 8 members get to appear on a TV show and form a unit for a b-side sometime in the future. Ran-chan is participating and streaming on SHOWROOM daily. I want to show you guys this one, where she did a dance stream, dancing in the studio to songs recommended by fans. As per my request (hehe), she performed an old legendary song, UZA, as well (this one is at 17:40):

I certainly felt dejavu hearing Mahopyon's and Niinan's irritable episodes. Turns out they've said those in showroom before.
Chiyori certainly made Soshina (the straight guy) laugh a lot , didn't really see that happened before.
It's all talk but they're pretty interesting. Good episode.
