so the current power rankings (I wrote the names as they came, no system lol) are something like:

1. Oguri, Okabe, Sakaguchi, Kuranoo, Shitao = senbatsu (hopefuls)
2. Tanao, Onishi, Oda, Yokoyama = top class. I think the first two are out of senbatsu considerations forever, not sure about Oda because she is quite versatile but it's gonna get only harder, pretty sure Yokoyui will make it one day. It's also worth pointing out that this tier lost at least 2 members recently.
3. Nagano, Gyoten, Sato A, Sato N, Shimizu, Yoshikawa, Takahashi A = these are selling well and/or have decent number of outside jobs, pretty much the rest of "Eito senbatsu"
4. Kawahara, Rissen, Hashimoto, Hama, Utada = young/new girls who are already doing decent and still with higher potential
5. Hattori, Yamamoto, Takahashi S, Hidaritomo, Miyazato, Okuhara, Yamada = the "out of Eito senbatsu" but their respective situations are very different
6. Takaoka, Hirano, Okumoto, Harumoto, Yoshida, Fujizono = the lowest tier. Takaoka and Hirano took breaks, Harumoto still hasn't even started, Okumoto, Yoshida and Fujizono should be higher when they start going
7. Mashiro, Ito = hello

I agree with most Nvmea wrote except I think there's no line between group 5,6 and 7.

I always feel that the mid-tier members are suffer the most, if you are in the lowest tier you can leave at anytime without regret (and someone may be pleased to chant for a new loli), but you cannot do it easily because you don't want to hurt fans that always support you, but deep down you know you never be in senbatsu or hardly sneak in a coupling song so you have a tough choice either stay or go.

 

1. Oguri, Okabe = senbatsu no matter what
2. Kuranoo, Sakaguchi = senbatsu for now, but they can be dropped anytime soon. They're near the border. Their sales are enough for now, but who knows next time?
3. Shitao = ?
4. The rest = the rest

I guess it depends on the members ambitions (and their "trajectory"). The Kanto girls probably aren't thinking about it that much and they're just enjoying what they have. (Otoh we were all surprised that Nanami actually stayed.) Also I think it's important that the members now don't get to feel their true status in things like SSK.
